"Seek. Pray. Serve." is being used by Lutheran Mission-Australia (LM-A) as they form congregational Women of Faith groups. This resource is blessing sisters in Christ around the world!

The leader of the LM-A Women of Faith, Helen Vonow, wrote:
"On behalf of Lutheran Mission - Australia, I want to sincerely thank the Lutheran Women in Mission, LCMS. Tonight, we are going to share for the first time with our early adopters of LM-A Women of Faith, the "Seek. Pray. Serve." resource. Lutheran Women in Mission is blessing our ministry abundantly by gifting access to this wonderful resource. It enables us to offer Bible Studies and additional resources as we begin this ministry. Your generosity is appreciated beyond words. Thank you."

"Seek. Pray. Serve." is the two-year planner for 2025–2027, packed with over 50 devotions, Bible studies, and sketches to encourage your faith and equip you for joyful service. Every item has been LCMS doctrinally reviewed, so you can use it with confidence knowing it truthfully proclaims God's Word.

Please join in prayer for the Lutheran Women in Mission Districts gathering in convention this week.

💜 The LWML Rocky Mountain District (https://www.lwmlrmd.org/) will be meeting in Colorado Springs, Colorado, under the theme “Faith that Can Move Mountains” based on Matthew 17:20b. Shelley Stewart is presiding.

💜 The Pacific Southwest District Lutheran Women's Missionary League will gather in Woodland Hills, California, with a theme of “Whatever . . . ” based on Philippians 4:8. Nancy Heredia is presiding.

💜 The Lutheran Women's Missionary League South Dakota District will gather in Rapid City, South Dakota, with a theme of “Confidence in His Grace” based on Hebrews 4:16. MaryJo Stier is presiding.

Dear Lord, we ask you to be with all women in the Rocky Mountain, Pacific Southwest, and South Dakota districts as they plan for, travel to, and attend their conventions this week. We give thanks for all the District Presidents and pray the Lord blesses their efforts going into the convention. For the Senior District Presidents, we thank God for their service, and for the Junior District Presidents, we ask God to bless all they do to His glory. Bless everyone's time together that they might know your love for them and equip them with what they need to serve you. May the Christian fellowship be uplifting, and everything be done to your glory! Keep everyone safe throughout the convention and give them warm welcomes when they reach their home afterwards. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

✝️ Read one of May's daily devotions --> Water of Life: Called By Name

In the Word
"And when he came up out of the water, immediately he saw the heavens being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven, 'You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased'” (Mark 1:10–11).

Of the Word
Jesus’ public ministry began after His Baptism in the Jordan River. When He came up out of the water, God declared Him as His Son.

By Baptism, we have been made sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father. He says, “I have called you by name, you are mine” (Isaiah 43:1b). Saint Paul writes, "For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith" (Galatians 3:26).

Immediately after His Baptism, the Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness to be tempted by Satan. We, too, are tempted every day — tempted to doubt our faith, tempted to disobey God, tempted to follow the ways of the world. Temptations are all around us and are hard to escape, but because we have been joined with Christ, Satan has no power over us. "The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8b).

Walking with my Lord
Dear God, You are my Father and I am Your child. Guard and protect me from temptation and help me live my life as one who belongs to You. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Today, we remember the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, which filled the disciples with courage, united people from many languages, and sent the Church into the world. May the same Spirit kindle faith in our hearts, guide our words, and empower us to be bold witnesses of Christ.

“And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance" (Acts 2:4).
