Join NBA’s Justice Initiatives team for Bridging the Gaps: An Interfaith Look at Healthcare and Nutrition in the OBBBA Era, a free virtual webinar on Wednesday, September 23 at 7:30pm ET / 6:30pm CT. NBA’s Senior Coordinator for Justice Initiatives, Rev. Angel Luis Rivera-Agosto, shares how changes connected to the One Big Beautiful Act has led to many people experiencing benefit loss or disruption due to factors outside of their control, and how nonprofit entities can step in to help.

“Faith communities, agencies, and nonprofit partners have an important role to play in preventing harm, helping people navigate confusing systems, gathering stories of impact, and organizing for humane implementation.”

As changes connected to the One Big Beautiful Bill Act continue to impact healthcare, nutrition, Medicaid, SNAP, and safety-net programs, this conversation will explore what has already changed, what may intensify in 2027, and how agencies, congregations, and community partners can educate, prepare, and respond with care.

“The bold, innovative, equity- and justice-centered work these ministries and organizations have carried into their communities is a powerful testament to what happens when we invest in local leadership, faithful imagination, and a deep commitment to justice and lasting impact," said Kara Whitehouse, NBA Operations & Grants Coordinator.
