Today, family, friends, community leaders, and loved ones gather to honor a life of service, leadership, compassion, and commitment to the community. While we mourn his passing, we also give thanks to God for the many lives he touched and the legacy he leaves behind.

We extend our deepest condolences to the Jones family and all who loved and knew him. May God’s peace and strength surround you during this time.

CITY OF DELLWOOD – FUNERAL PROCESSION INFORMATION

Thursday September 3, 2026 Residents are invited to respectfully line West Florissant Avenue, Chambers Road, and nearby public viewing areas as the funeral procession honoring Mayor Reggie Jones travels through Dellwood.

The procession is anticipated to enter the Dellwood area near Keelen Drive and West Florissant between 9:00–9:15 a.m. and travel toward Dellwood City Hall before continuing to New Sunny Mount Baptist Church.

Please expect significant traffic delays and temporary road closures between approximately 9:00–10:00 a.m. and again from 1:00–2:00 p.m.

We encourage residents to arrive early, remain safely out of the roadway, follow all law enforcement directions, and join us in showing our respect for Mayor Jones and his service to our community.

Together, we honor his life, leadership, and legacy.

On behalf of the New Sunny Mount Worship & Arts Department, Dr. Phil would like to extend a special invitation to singers throughout our community to join us as we honor the life and legacy of our dear servant leader, Mayor Deacon Reggie Jones.

Mayor Jones spent his life serving others. He loved his family, his church, young people and this community, and his impact reached far beyond the walls of New Sunny Mount. As we prepare to celebrate his life and send our brother home, we invite you to join us as we lift our voices in song.

We are forming a Celebration Mass Choir for his Homegoing Celebration on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at New Sunny Mount Missionary Baptist Church.

Singers: All are welcome to join us
Choir Call: 10:00 a.m.
Meet: New Sunny Mount Choir Room
Rehearsal: We will have a quick rehearsal and warm-up immediately before the service
Attire: Black with a bold color accent
