Tonight’s message: Be a Peacemaker
“Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” — Matthew 5:9
Strife is like two cars traveling toward one another when one driver decides to cross the center line. The lines are there for protection, but trouble begins when someone refuses to stay in their lane.
A peacemaker:
• Does not have to dominate every conversation.
• Does not feel responsible to correct everyone.
• Knows when to speak and when to remain silent.
• Refuses to add fuel to conflict.
• Brings calm, grace, and the spirit of Christ into the room.
• Pursues restoration—not victory.
Every home, church, and relationship needs someone who will lower the temperature instead of raising it. We cannot always control the conduct of others, but we can choose what spirit we bring into the situation.
Don’t be the person who creates the strife. Be the person God uses to bring peace.
“Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace.” — Romans 14:19
