Detroit Catholic Cursillo Movement A gathering place for people involved or interested in the Detroit Catholic Cursillo Movement. What is the Cursillo Movement? It is like the sacraments.

To explain the Cursillo, which is Spanish for "short course", to someone who has not experienced it is, at best, difficult - not because Cursillo is a secret, but because it is a living experience only fully understood when experienced first hand. Someone can explain them to you, but that only helps the experience. It does not replace the experience. The Cursillo experience is unique to each perso

n because no one can fully explain how God touches a person. Christ, through the Cursillo and through His grace, touches the person who is open to a personal relationship with Him in a special way and the person is never the same after as they were before.

A heartfelt thank you to our Detroit Cursillo community for another wonderful summer picnic! It is always such a blessing to see our Cursillo family travel from all across the Archdiocese of Detroit to come together in faith, friendship, and fellowship, to celebrate and, of course, break bread together! A special thank you to Fr. Chris for leading us in a beautiful celebration of the Mass. And as always, the meal was outstanding! Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special. What a wonderful reminder of the joy and community we share through Cursillo. We are already looking forward to gathering again next year!
