I honestly wouldn’t feel comfortable giving this book anything less that 5 stars. My only regret is that I did not read it sooner after The Huntress. I loved that one too. The way builds personalities, places, emotions. You are there. Right alongside the Buffins in Bletchley Park. You know them. You’re rooting for them. I love and I’ve read countless books on WWII probably more on that time period than any era and this book brings a whole new angle to it. The amazing work they did there. Men and women working alongside each other doing astonishing this and saving lives from the shadows. Truly a remarkable account. This book is exciting, spicy, fashionable, and brilliant!

I’m such a when Kate introduces Ian Graham in The Rose Code ever so slightly. You could have blinked and you’d miss it. But there he was, the main character from The Huntress. Which made that story even more real to me. I lit up!

Embrace the friendship, the camaraderie, the loyalty and bravery, women empowerment. As you can tell, I really enjoyed this story. I hope you do too. 🌹

I’m not sure if it still is or not but I couldn’t pass up a chance to give a huge shout out to this amazing library. It wasn’t there when I was growing up but it has become a must stop every time we visit home. So many free resources for everyone. The possibilities are endless and all you need is a simple card to unlock it. 🔑
The center circle atrium reminds me of those endless possibilities. It has one of the best Children’s wings I’ve ever seen. Fully equipped with thousands of book for babies to teens. Fun programs and scavenger hunts and Eve opens up to a sensory garden. 🪴We visited home for Mother’s Day and they are doing a summer reading program, read ten books and pick out a book to take home for free. We crushed that in 2 days and He picked the Bluey workbook. ☀️💓📚

🌳 I was browsing through my Grandpa’s book collection when I stumbled upon this interesting cover. I had no idea the gem I was holding in my hands. Thirteen Moons hit every note I was craving! Adventure, true love that is always out of reach, sexy scenes, historical fiction, humorous, and at times beautiful poetic. It has vibes all over it. The scenes crafted to where you can smell the Spring time and you are in the solo tent during Winter. The time period is Colonization where the the US is mostly untapped wood and the Cherokee are facing dire situations. I’m from Georgia/Alabama originally so the area this book took place hit home.

🌳 Charles Frazier (born November 4, 1950) is an American novelist. He won the 1997 National Book Award for Fiction for Cold Mountain. Next time you go keep your eyes open for this. You will not be disappointed. Yes, that is a portrait drawn of my Grandpa and a picture of my husband and I at Arches NP. ☀️

Fly is an up-and-coming poetry anthology. Poems have similar themes related to butterflies, but more specifically, monarchs.

Milkweed is the only plant that monarchs lay eggs on and that monarch caterpillars eat. Due to pesticides and development, this habitat is declining, which threatens the monarch population.

Proceeds from the anthology will be used to donate to different organizations that support these beautiful creatures.

Book Review📖⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I’m a sucker for hystorical fiction. I always have been, even in middle school reading stories on the civil war and loving it. The Great Depression specially the The Dust Bowl era is one I have not read as much about. I read Out of the Dust by Karen Hesse ages ago.

😅Anywho Elsa, pi**ed me off. Her struggle with confidence and self-pity was harsh but I loved watching her grow. As mom myself this made me want to root for her no matter what. I wanted to hug her. On Hard days I still hear myself say ‘Come on, Elsa.” Crazy enough Elsa is my grandma’s name so it made this story even more personal. It did seem dragged along with some exciting times that still prevented me from putting it down. The details really put you in the story and feel the sweat of hard work and struggle.

💛I recommend it.
