IT'S HERE!!!!

Last year Impact Youth went to Doe River Gorge and it was one of the most fun-filled trips we embarked in. Well July 1st we will be heading back to Doe River for "Day Quest"!

The Price is $25 (Due Wednesday June 28th)
We will be leaving Grassy Creek Baptist Church at 8:45am and returning at 6pm

Take advantage of those day! For everyone that attended this trip last year will tell you that it was a BLAST!

If you are unable to participate due to finances please let Gene Self know. We want everyone that's able to take advantage of this day regardless of money.

Tonight @ Impact I talked about "Temptation". Every single Day the Devil is out to kill, steal, and destroy you. Many of you all tonight are nibbling on the hook of temptation, others of you are already hooked and in a desperate fight to break free of the sin your in. Some of you all tonight are perfectly comfortable with the decisions you are making because the consequences have yet to settle in.

We can't run from sin, it's every where! We can't even close our eyes and get away from the temptation of sin... In fact the Bible tells us to keep our eyes open and focused on God, that is the only way we can fight temptation off is when we are so focused on Christ that every thing else is blurred out.

Maybe some of you all tonight feel you've already crossed to many bridges to be loved and accepted by God. Can I just say that you can never fall to far away from the father! He desires to have a relationship with you that is overflowing with Love. Tonight I pray that you will focus your eyes upon the Savior and ask him to guide your footsteps into a life that in pleasing to him.

Hey guys, it's Brent! I pray that you are having a joyful day in the Lord! As many of you all know we are in full swing of our annual Vacation Bible School! Each night we have been diving into the Deep Blue Sea taking adventures through Gods Word. I pray that the excitement that has ignited doesn't die down after this week is over, but that you may live all the days of your life filled with the Joy of the Lord inside of you! I was thinking this morning how Snapchat is alot like Jesus, have you guys every seen the parellels that the two have? No, Jesus isn’t an app or a way to communicate with your friends, but we can learn about Jesus from Snapchat. Just think about it with me, Once a snap is sent, it can be viewed for a limited amount of time. Then the snap deletes. Its never seen again. This is a lot like what Jesus did for us on the cross. Our sin was a barrrier to get to God. We couldnt come to God on the basis of our works, because any sin, no matter how tiny keeps us from knowing God. What we needed was a solution to the sin we commit. The solution was Jesus!
In Romas Chapter 3, verse 23 is states, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Notice it doesn't say "some", but it says "ALL" each one of us are in desperate need of the "FIX" Jesus offers. Jesus was able to delete sin... permanently! Once we ask Jesus to forgive is of our sins, they’re gone, deleted once and for all. Just like the snaps in snapchat. They can’t be viewed again once they’re deleted. And that’s what Jesus did for us. He deleted the sin out of my life and your life by dying on the cross of Calvery. His death and resurrection caused the sin problem to be defeated. When we accept Jesus in our life, all our sins are deleted. They’re gone, we can go to God as if sin never existed in our lives and He'll have that everylasting Love for you. This promise is written in Romans chapter 8, verse 2, "Because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death."
