Getting hurt. It’s inevitable.
Staying offended. That’s a choice.
A choice that is extremely dangerous and destructive.
I’m grieved over how often we as Christians fall for this. We justify offense. We coddle our offense. We even bond with others over a shared offense. And! We go as far to allow offense to guide our decisions!😳
Meanwhile SATAN himself is PLEASED.
Offense is deadly.
Offense is poison.
Offense is partnership with Satan himself.
Offense is a doorway to the demonic.
Offense bleeds out to others and is toxic.
Offense offers a ceiling to your destiny.
Offense stunts growth.
Offense grieves Holy Spirit.
Offense is not from Jesus and is not His best.
Christians! Wake up!!!! What are we doing?!!
Whose side are we on?
And who controls our lives?
Enough playing games. If we call ourselves Christians, let’s live it wholeheartedly. We don’t have time for division. Jesus himself prayed “that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”
Let’s partner with the prayers of Jesus himself!!!! How great would that be??!! Imagine us protecting unity!!! 😱😱Where we have differences we simply celebrate diversity. Where we don’t see eye to eye we embrace opportunity to agree to disagree and love stinking well. When hurt, we stay unoffendable. When we hear rumors, we acknowledge them as such and seek truth. Daily. Seeking. Freedom. Unity. Radical love.
What kind of church would we be? 😍😍
What kind of impact could we have?
And how would the world respond?
May we ever be so quick to partner with Holy Spirit and search our hearts often. Daily we will have need of this. Is there any offense of division within me? Get it out! I’m a follower of Jesus. And that’s not of Him!
We ain’t got no time for this.
Either we partner with Satan or with Jesus. There’s only two sides. Always. Choose well.
