Sermon Summary from May 24th!
Smiles, sunshine and Happy Wednesday Church Family. Our guest pastor Sunday morning was Reverend Josiah Hodge, Assistant Pastor at New Life Methodist Church in Pell City. He gave a wonderful message on understanding the role and power of the Holy Spirit. He referenced Acts 19 to explain how believers can earnestly seek God and yet be unaware of the Holy Spirit. Although the Holy Spirit is often misunderstood, this third part of the Trinity is crucial to daily Christian life, allowing divine interactions with others. Pastor Hodge explored key scriptural passages to demonstrate the Holy Spirit's equality with Jesus in a divine nature and His indwelling presence in people's lives. Four truths about the Holy Spirit were given:He is Lord, He is the source of life, He is the greatest gift, and He is a foretaste of Heaven. As believers, we need to speak to the Holy Spirit as we would to Jesus, recognizing His feelings and acknowledging His leadership in our daily lives. His message concluded with a call to acknowledge and develop a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit.
