Dear Church Family, what a wonderful Sunday we shared. All of us gathered together in the sanctuary for one united service. It was truly a blessing to worship together and to be reminded of what a beautiful church family we have. Now to the summary. A sign in front of a church read: "Exercise daily...walk with the Lord."With that encouragement let's take a walk through Sunday's message given by our own Jeff Smith. Based on the scripture I John 2:15-17 and John 14:21, Jeff challenged us believers to prioritize our spiritual lives over worldly pursuits and to find our purpose and strength in God. Everyone, first of all, needs to take a serious look at one's relationship with Jesus. All teams have uniforms, and we Christians need to wear the "uniform" of Christianity. not just in name but in our actions. By doing so we put God first in our lives through prayer and devotion , thus having an intimate relationship with God, rather than seeking fulfillment in worldly things. Jeff focused on recognizing oneself as a child of God and the importance of producing the fruits of the Spirit. We also need to acknowledge our past shortcomings and our need for God's grace and forgiveness. God never walks away from us, He never leaves us. He is our Father and we should want Him to be proud of us. Let us pray for opportunities to bless others. Jeff concluded with a personal testimony about finding strength and guidance in faith. AMEN and AMEN

Please help us give a BIG S.M.C Welcome to our new Youth Director- Braelyn Edwards!!
We are incredibly blessed and excited to have Braelyn join our ministry team. Braelyn brings a huge heart for youth, a passion for faith, and the energy needed to lead our students into a bright new chapter. Our youth are the heartbeat of our future, and we cannot wait to see how this ministry thrives under Braelyn’s leadership, guidance, and vision.
Braelyn graduated from Jacksonville High School in 2020 and Jacksonville State University in 2025. She and her husband, Preston, served at Grace Episcopal Church for several years, where Braelyn also served as the Director of Foothills Day Camp. She has had the privilege of traveling to Uganda twice with Mission of Hope to serve at Mustard Seed Babies Home.

Outside of ministry, Braelyn and Preston enjoy playing disc golf, making music, and spending time with their two pets, Buddy and Rocco. They are excited to begin this new adventure at Springville Methodist Church and are incredibly grateful for the warm welcome they have received. They look forward to serving, building relationships, and seeing what God has in store for this new chapter. ✝️🩵
