Agnes Baptist Church

08/25/2026

Dear church family,

As you may know, the Ross Fire is burning roughly 20 miles west of Agnes Baptist Church and is now in southern Jack County, north of the town of Graford and continuing north. Jack County residents that might be impacted by this fire have been encouraged to evacuate by county officials.

While Parker and Wise counties have no evacuation notices or fire warnings for this fire, a few smaller fires are burning in Parker and surrounding counties, and the dry weather we are experiencing increases the risk that fires may spark anywhere in the area.

Regardless of where these fires occur, we want to remind everyone that if you or your friends or family are impacted by these events, please reach out to us for any assistance you may need.

Springtown was hit pretty hard last night when the storm rolled through. The church withstood some roof damage and water damage and as of right now doesn’t have electricity. With that being said there will be NO CHURCH SERVICES today.
We are working on gathering some people to go help our members/neighbors that are in need of help. Church might not be “in the building” today but we ARE the church.
Be in prayer today for those that have been affected. If you can help with the cleanup get with Willie or myself.
