1 Peter 5:7 – “Cast all your anxiety…”
Anxiety doesn’t always look the same for everyone. Sometimes it’s racing thoughts that won’t slow down. Sometimes it’s that tight feeling in your chest. Sometimes it’s overthinking every little thing, replaying conversations, worrying about things that haven’t even happened yet.
And the hardest part? You often carry it silently.
You smile. You go about your day. You act like everything is fine. But inside, your mind is constantly running, constantly worrying, constantly trying to stay in control.
This verse offers something incredibly simple, yet deeply powerful:
“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”
Not some of it. Not just the big things. All of it.
Every worry.
Every fear.
Every thought that keeps you up at night.
You don’t have to hold onto it anymore.
But letting go isn’t always easy, is it? We’re so used to trying to control everything, trying to figure everything out on our own. We think if we just think harder, plan better, or worry more, we’ll somehow fix things.
But anxiety doesn’t get lighter the more you carry it—it gets heavier.
Letting go doesn’t mean you stop caring. It means you stop trying to carry everything by yourself. It means trusting that you don’t have to have all the answers right now.
And maybe today, instead of holding everything in, you take a different step. Maybe you release it. Maybe you stop trying to control every outcome and allow yourself to breathe again.
Because you were never meant to carry all of this alone.
