UUSGS is a membership organization. Membership is open to anyone. Beneath all of the logistics, is a deeper, more powerful spiritual idea. It is the idea of joining. Freely joining. Joining together. Joining together to do something important.

Fall reminds us that change is not a single season—it is the rhythm of a lifetime. On this Labor Day weekend, we’ll pause to consider how we spend our most precious resources: our time, our energy, and our attention. What are we growing or beginning again in ourselves? What do we labor at seeding now for future harvest? And how might we measure a life not simply by the hours we have, but by how we choose to spend them on our ever-changing journeys?

"Great is our Faithfulness...." But... faith in what?

One important rite of passage for UU's is called Coming of Age. Often occurring during adolescene, it is the beginning of what we hope is a lifelong journey of exploration, discovery, and dialog. One result Coming of Age is a Credo Statement, essentially an personal expression of "This I Believe..."

Well, this summer at UUSGS, a group of a dozen or so adults embarked on a similar process -- called Build Your Own Theology -- to explore big questions together, to express personal truths, and to share and appreciate one another's spiritual journeys.

Just our luck! A few participants from this experience are prepared to share with all of us this Sunday. Join us for worship at 9:30AM (in person) or 11AM (in person or online). All are welcome!

This past weekend, our "Build Your Own Theology" class enjoyed a retreat to share reflections and creating a meal together. After the culimination of the program, a few participants will share some of their work at this Sunday's worship service.

We're putting together a fresh Summer Garden Pasta Salad for Soulful Supper tonight! All are welcome!
Afterwards BYOT class is meeting and Shakespub is rehearsing. Childcare provided 6:30-7:30PM.

As school season rolls around again, some congregations hold rituals like the Blessing of the Backpacks. We at UUSGS love this idea! ...only not everyone is a student or a parent or a teacher heading off to school.

However this moment meets you - wherever you are on your life's journey - find your footing and be encouraged! Go forth with faith and hope... and with the support of those with whom we may yet create the Beloved Community.

"We see you. We love you. We're here for you." Amen!
