Looking forward to our contributions to State missions!

The Janie Chapman Offering for State Missions is more than an offering; it is a reminder of generations of faithful women and churches who have answered God’s call to support missions across South Carolina.

Beginning in 1884, South Carolina Baptist women sacrificially gave to help advance the work of missions. Years later, the offering was named in honor of Janie Weston Chapman, the first president of South Carolina WMU, whose life reflected humble service, unwavering faith, and a passion for sharing the Gospel.

For more than 140 years, this legacy of generosity has continued. Today, every gift to the Janie Chapman Offering helps support state missions, missions education, church planting, disaster relief, and Gospel ministry throughout South Carolina.

As we prepare for the Week of Prayer for State Missions, September 6–13, we invite you to be part of this ongoing story of faith and Kingdom impact.

Together, we are continuing the legacy of reaching communities, sharing Christ, and making a difference across our state. 💙

We are participating in the South Carolina Woman's Missionary Union (SC WMU) Christmas Backpacks Ministry that provides specific gifts and shares the Gospel with children and teenagers in the Appalachian region that includes Upstate South Carolina. Backpacks are due by October 4 at Tabernacle. Bookbags are available at the church for participants to fill or donations can be made.

Before it became an offering, it was a legacy of faith.
The Janie Chapman Offering traces its roots back to 1884, when South Carolina Baptist women sacrificially gave to support missions across our state. As that commitment to reaching others grew, so did the vision for a dedicated state missions offering. In 1937, the offering was named in honor of Janie Weston Chapman—the first president of South Carolina WMU and a faithful pastor's wife whose life was marked by humble service, unwavering faith, and a passion for sharing the Gospel.

For more than 20 years, Janie Chapman helped shape the mission of South Carolina WMU, encouraging women, churches, and future generations to faithfully answer God's call. Through seasons of great joy and deep loss, she remained committed to advancing God's Kingdom.

Today, every gift to the Janie Chapman Offering for State Missions continues that legacy: supporting state missions, missions education, church planting, disaster relief, and Gospel ministry throughout South Carolina.

As we give, we honor not only Janie Chapman's legacy but also the countless faithful believers who have invested in God's work across our state for more than 140 years.
Together, we're continuing a story of faith, generosity, and Gospel impact. 💙

Thank you for celebrating God’s glory with us at our revival with your beautiful music and witness for Him! We were blessed!

We enjoyed being at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Kitchens Mill, SC. Always….such a warm welcome. Next year we are back in November to celebrate their 197th Anniversary Sunday! Thank you pastor!

Parents (and Grandparents and all Christians) are called to intentionally influence the next generation with eternity in mind.

July is Purposeful Parenting Month.

As we step into this new month, we pray that all parents would earnestly live on mission, wisely guiding their children to do the same. This month and always, we thank God for parents and ask Him to encourage you as you seek to do everything, especially parenting, for the glory of God.
