For VBS today, our message is that God is Love! Tia the Giant Anteater helps us with the key Bible verse: “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.” (Psalm 136:1) We have many opportunities to be anteaters today!
The Bible story shares that message as Jesus dies and comes to life to show God’s love. (Luke 22:39-24:12)

It is day 2 of VBS, and we are reminded that God knows everything. (Wow, God!)
Seymour the Glass Frog helps us learn the Bible verse: “O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me.” (Psalm 139:1)
Our Bible Story is about David celebrating all God knows. (Psalm 139)
We hope you will reinforce these Bible events and verses and use them as opportunities to imprint the word of God on your children’s hearts.

VBS 2026 Day 1: What a fun start to VBS! We are so thankful for all of our leaders, volunteers, and the children we get to share God’s Love with. We learn in Genesis 1 that God is our creator. Today, Tango the Quetzal reminds us to “Praise the Lord, everything he has created, everything in all his kingdom.” (Psalm 103:22)

The Food Pantry continues to see record numbers with a 23% increase year over year in numbers of households served through March. Cash is always welcome and checks can be made to Grace Lutheran Food Pantry. Thank you to those who supported the recent Culver's fundraiser. $1,200 was raised!! We are grateful for the generosity of our congregation members!

We end each year with a chapel service filled with God’s Word, favorite songs praising God, baptismal birthday celebrations, and a blessing for each child. The tradition of each classroom teacher blessing his/her students began several years ago, and we have continued ever since. These students and teachers have spent a year together growing as a family, learning, and growing in Christ. It is a beautiful, heartwarming way to send Our Savior’s children on to their next school year.
Pastor Springer talked about our theme “Make a Joyful Noise to the Lord!” and reminded us to continue to make a joyful noise to the Lord each and every day!
May God bless each child, teacher, and all of our families this summer with safety, fun, relaxation with family, and worship each weekend.

Step through the mist into Rainforest Falls, overflowing with wild waterfalls, towering trees, and colorful creatures. Beneath a canopy of chattering birds and howling monkeys, kids plunge into a lifelong adventure of discovering the nature of God. They'll explore what it means to be rooted in relationship with God, their creator, a safe place in life's storms.

Baptismal Banners have been a tradition at Our Savior’s for …well, a long time! Thank you to Julie H. and Jean O. who are carrying on this tradition. What a nice keepsake of baptism, a "means of grace"—a holy sacrament where God washes away sins, offers forgiveness, and grants the Holy Spirit through water and the Word. We rejoice in every baptism as God actively claims individuals as His children!
More volunteers are always welcome! To learn more, call the church office at (217) 546-4531.
