On the Day of Pentecost, God validated diversity. Different languages. Different nations. Different people. The Holy Spirit did not erase differences. The Spirit honored them.

Pentecost was not about one nation under God. It was about every nation hearing the wonderful works of God in their own language. That is the exact opposite of the white Christian nationalist movement in America that pushes exclusion, supremacy, and the lie that God belongs primarily to America, whiteness, or one political ideology.

God is not anti-diversity. God created diversity.
God is not anti-equity. God is just.
God is not anti-inclusion. Pentecost itself was inclusive.

White Christian nationalism is not Christianity. It is a political ideology wrapped in a cross and dr**ed in a flag.

The Kingdom of God is bigger than America, bigger than whiteness, and bigger than nationalism.

America cannot “go back to Jesus” because America has never followed Jesus in the first place. A nation built on stolen land, enslaved labor, segregation, lynching, racial terror, and systemic oppression cannot honestly pretend there was some golden age of Christian righteousness it needs to return to.

What Jesus sanctioned slavery?
What Jesus endorsed segregation?
What Jesus approved of r**e, lynching, voter suppression, mass incarceration, and the dehumanization of Black people?

This “Rededicate 250” movement is not about repentance. It is white evangelical nostalgia fantasizing about an America where their cultural dominance went unchallenged while injustice flourished unchecked.

You cannot rededicate what was never dedicated and you cannot return to a Jesus you never truly followed.
