Rocky Mountain High 2026 "One Story" highlights✨
📖The One Story of scripture is God trying to bring us home.
🏠ABIDE = homecoming
💍God made his home in the Tabernacle and the Temple, then Jesus made his home in US.
Not making Jesus our home is like getting married, then going your separate ways.
🌿Sometimes we'd rather have a "selfie with Moses" then wonder why our branches are only duct taped to the vine. We have all the potential in the world, but we're useless without plugging into the source.
🍇It's not about quantity, it's PROXIMITY to Jesus. It's not about striving to practice spiritual disciplines as a task list; proximity will bear the fruit of the Spirit.
🙏Prayer is saying, "Jesus, you have my attention." (In each moment and activity.)
🌅Jesus did not come to make bad people good, he came to make dead people ALIVE.
🐺The best leaders make themselves low and walk in the back, looking for those on the fringes and making sure everyone has belonging and what they need. They SERVE.
🙌We may be willing to die for Jesus, but are we willing to LIVE for him?
🔗We sort of understand how to live forgiven, but not how to live FREE.
🧑🧑🧒🧒We live by lies that we will never have enough, be enough, or do enough. We can have an orphan mindset and forget that we are God's own children.
❓A childlike faith really means that it's ok to ask questions. Doubt is an invitation to go deeper - always doubt with the help of scripture and trusted believers.
🤼♀️God named his chosen people "those who wrestle with me." (Israel)
✝️Even though we know Jesus is able, our faith is not in what he does, but who he IS. So that whatever may happen, we can be safe in his unshakeable kingdom, not because faith means everything is fixed, but because Jesus is always good and always trustworthy.
