Join us tonight at 7pm for our first evening of the Buddhism & Women course!

This course explores how women are portrayed in ancient Buddhist texts and what those portrayals reveal about women’s experiences in Buddhism today. We will focus on the “Therigatha,” early poems by Buddhist women, using C. Hallisey’s “Poems of the First Buddhist Women,” and also examine other figures like Visakha to consider gender roles in the tradition. We hope to see you all there!
