"Encounter with God's Call at Conception Seminary College is an opportunity to discern the call to priesthood and learn about college seminary life. Throughout the weekend, we pray, meet, and relax with seminarians and other young men discerning the priesthood. Together we seek to listen for God's voice and our call."

Join Bishop Rice on the First Friday of each month to pray for an increase in Vocations to the Priesthood and religious life in the Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau.

The Rosary will be prayed following the liturgy on the following dates and at the following locations:

Fri., Mar. 01—St. Agnes Cathedral, Springfield, 5:30 p.m.

Fri., April 05—St. John Henry Newman Center, Cape Girardeau, 12-Noon

Fri., May 03—St. Agnes School Mass, Springfield, 8:30 a.m.

Priesthood Sunday, September 24, 2023

Priesthood Sunday is a special day set aside to honor priesthood across the nation. Today we reflect upon and affirm the role of the priesthood in the life of the Church. Through them, we may celebrate the Holy Sacraments. 🙌

Take time today to express your thanks and gratitude to your priests. Thank them for their work, their dedication, devotion, and service.

Join in this prayer 🙏 for priests from St. Faustina:

Heavenly Father, grant that our priests be strengthened and healed by the power of the Eucharist they celebrate. May the Word they proclaim give them courage and wisdom. We pray that all those whom they seek to serve may see in them the love and care of Jesus, Our Eternal High Priest, who is Lord forever and ever. Amen.
