Muslims all over the world celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr today. This is the first day of eating and celebrating during daytime after 30 days of fasting during daytime and praying throughout. To all our community members, we wish you a blessed and peaceful Eid today. Eid Mubarak.

Ramadan month is over. A month of fasting, praying, giving charity, and connecting with Allah through supplication (Du’aa). We ask Allah to accept this month of worship from us and to enable us to live and have more Ramadans.

The SIU American Muslim Medical Student Association was honored to host an iftar ( breaking the fast) at Al Noor Center for the Muslim medical community of Springfield and to share our culture during Ramadan’s Iftaar with colleagues from other cultures.
It was a special reminder that our connections extend beyond the hospital walls — rooted in faith, service, and community.

A great night at our Masjid with wonderful community engagement and an inspiring talk by our guest speaker, Dr. Sabeel Ahmad from the GainPeace organization. The discussion focused on meaningful dialogue with our fellow humans of all faiths and beliefs, and on how to convey the message of Islam correctly.
