Announcing Our New Sister Ministry: Middle Women Ministries!
As we continue to see the impact of Iron Sharpens Iron on men in our region, we are
thrilled to announce the launch of a brand-new sister ministry dedicated to equipping the
women in our churches and communities: Middle Women Ministries.
Inspired by Titus 2—which calls for older women to teach younger women—this ministry
is built on the truth that discipleship is multidirectional. Regardless of where a woman is
in her faith journey, she always has someone to learn from and someone to encourage.
The mission is to equip women to engage God’s Word together, using their gifts to
encourage those behind them and emulate those ahead of them, ultimately fostering
flourishing families, churches, and communities.
Invite all the women in your lives to mark April 3, 2027 in their calendars for our first
annual Middle Women Conference being held in Springfield, IL at Cherry Hills Church!

Wrapping up our twentieth season of conference ministry is somewhat surreal. While this is my twentieth year of doing the Iron Sharpens Iron conferences, my vocational launch was several years before that when myself, Doug Ryherd and Dave Roche founded Business Men In Christ (BMIC) which is still alive and well today. I stepped away from that ministry to launch Relevant Practical Ministry for Men (RPM) in 2007.

Those early years where Jan and I were praying and discerning what God was up to
were hard but wonderful years that grew our faith and taught us what obedience looked
like in real life. I vividly remember sitting at our dining room table and sharing the vision
of what being in full-time vocational ministry could look like. I remember tears being
shed by both of us, but I remember most Jan saying, “I trust you because I know you
are trusting Jesus.”

The history of RPM is still being written. 🙌🏼

Churches often add 'welcome time' to appear friendly, but visitors decide way before sitting down if a church is welcoming. Attempts to cover up for an uninviting greeter at the door by forcing interaction during the service are often unsuccessful. They have already made up their minds.

Some stereotypes are true. Instead of getting angry or resentful, just laugh. Every church has its quirks, from music styles to governance. It's crazy how people argue over dumb things. If you're an introvert, church socials are a nightmare!
