Youth Pastor position available!

The Youth Pastor position is available at Crosstimbers Community Church, Edna, KS. This rural community of approximately 450 people has an area grade school for Pre-K to 8 with 170 children, and the high school is 12 miles away in Altamont, KS. Pastors Mark and Alice Wettengel along with the leadership of the congregation know that reaching the youth of the area is the next step of growth for this part of the body of Christ. Currently, there are between 6-10 youth who come on Wed. nights for Bible study and fellowship. Worship and Youth Pastor

The position is half Youth Ministry, half worship and graphic design. We are not looking for a worship leader that kind of likes youth or a youth pastor that can sort of sing. We're looking for someone with both areas of giftedness and experience. That being said, we are able to pay the equivalent of one full-time salary, so we are open to a husband/wife team where one is gifted in youth ministry and the other worship. And that's just where we are at THIS moment. We are growing and will definitely have a both a full-time Youth Pastor AND a full-time Worship Pastor in the not so distant future. If you're just out of college or don't have a lot of experience, that's not a deal-breaker for us. We'd love to give you a shot!

About our Church:
We are a turnaround (revitalization) church that is in the rebuilding stages. We were at 80 in Sunday attendance when our current Lead Pastor came in March 2013. Now (March 2016), we're averaging over 250 and growing. We have a great facility built in 2003. We’re in the process of merging with a Spanish-Speaking church of 100. We're definitely on our way to health and effectiveness, with new young families surrendering to Christ on a regular basis, record highs in attendance of late, and an increase of about 50% over the last few months. However, if you're looking for an easy job where you just come in and manage an already established, gargantuan ministry, this isn't for you. On the other hand, if you're interested in helping to establish and build long-lasting, effective ministries in a gospel-centered church with the crazy dream of reaching thousands for Christ in the Green Bay area, send us your resume!

High level of musical proficiency (vocal and instrumental)
Able to lead Contemporary-Style worship.
Able to manage/pastor a worship team.
Able to lead an effective Youth ministry.
Degree preferred, but not required.

Undergraduate Degree
2 years experience in youth and/or worship ministry
Spanish fluency
