Join us for a fun evening on Saturday, November 15, following the 4:30 PM Mass, at the St. Bernard School building! Adults are invited to relax and enjoy good company at our Wine and Cheese Night, while the kids have their own fun with Legos and Lunchables.⁣

This event is open to all children whose parents are attending the Wine and Cheese Night. Please note that, since there are no permission slips, this is not a drop-off event — parents must remain on-site.⁣

Kids, BYOL (Bring Your Own Legos) and get ready for our Lego Build Challenge! Each child will receive a surprise theme for their build. At the end of the night, we’ll snap photos of each masterpiece and post them to our parish page — and the build with the most likes after one week will win a Mystery LEGO Set!⁣

It’s the perfect evening for the whole parish family to relax, connect, and have some creative fun. All are welcome — come for the Mass, stay for the fellowship!⁣

🌟 Calling all families with children ages 5–14! 🌟
There’s still time to join our Saints-in-Training program! It’s a joyful, faith-filled experience where children grow in love for Jesus, make new friends, and discover what it means to live as young disciples.

Our next meeting, “Living the Beatitudes,” will help children see how Jesus’ words of blessing can shape their hearts and everyday lives.

We’d love to have your family join us!

Today we celebrate the Feast of St. Paul of the Cross, founder of the Passionist Order and a tireless preacher of Christ’s love revealed in the Cross.

Born in Italy in 1694, St. Paul devoted his life to deep prayer, penance, and proclaiming the message of the Passion — the greatest sign of God’s mercy and love for humanity. He founded the Congregation of the Passion (the Passionists) to keep alive the memory of Christ’s suffering and to invite all people to find hope and healing at the foot of the Cross.

His life reminds us that in our own sufferings, we can unite ourselves to Jesus and discover the power of redemptive love.

“The remembrance of the Passion of Jesus is the door through which the soul enters into intimate union with God.” — St. Paul of the Cross

Today we celebrate the Feast of St. Teresa of Ávila, Doctor of the Church, mystic, and reformer of the Carmelite Order.

St. Teresa was a woman of deep prayer, fierce determination, and joyful love for God. In the 16th century, she worked tirelessly to renew religious life, calling her sisters — and all of us — to a more intimate friendship with Christ through interior prayer. Her writings, especially The Interior Castle and The Way of Perfection, continue to guide countless souls along the path of holiness.

She reminds us that true transformation begins within the heart — in silence, humility, and trust in God’s mercy.

“Let nothing disturb you, let nothing frighten you. All things are passing; God never changes.” — St. Teresa of Ávila

Today we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Archangels — St. Michael, St. Gabriel, and St. Raphael!

🔹 St. Michael, the mighty defender, stands as the protector against evil.
🔹 St. Gabriel, the great messenger, brings God’s word with clarity and hope.
🔹 St. Raphael, the healer, guides and strengthens us on our journey.

These heavenly messengers remind us that God’s love and protection surround us at every moment. Let’s call on their intercession today and entrust ourselves to their care.

“Bless the Lord, all you his angels, mighty in strength, who do his bidding.” (Psalm 103:20)

Feast of St. Thomas of Villanova

Today we celebrate St. Thomas of Villanova (1488–1555) — a remarkable bishop and Augustinian friar known as the “Father of the Poor.”

St. Thomas lived a life of deep simplicity and charity. Though he was a brilliant preacher and scholar, he is remembered most for his compassion. As Archbishop of Valencia, he tirelessly cared for the poor, the sick, and orphans, giving away nearly everything he had. Even on his deathbed, he asked that his bed be given to someone in greater need.

His life challenges us to see Christ in the poor and to live with hearts open in generosity.

St. Thomas of Villanova, pray for us!
