✨ Glimpse of the Message This Sunday

“How to Stay True” — Matthew 5:27–37

Jesus looks beyond our outward actions and goes straight to the heart. We may make excuses or try to justify ourselves, but the truth is—we need more than better behavior. We need to be made new.

And that is the good news! ❤️

Jesus doesn’t simply tell us to try harder. He points us to Himself. Jesus alone is perfectly faithful, and He remained faithful all the way to the cross to redeem us.

Christianity isn’t “try harder to be better.” It is “let Jesus make you new.”

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:17

Join us this Sunday as we look at how to stay true—not by our own strength, but through the transforming grace of Jesus. ❤️

🎉💕 What a beautiful celebration for Joyce’s 89th birthday! 💕🎉

What a joy it was to have so many from our church family stay after worship to celebrate this very special day with Joyce and her family! ❤️ It was such a wonderful afternoon filled with love, laughter, fellowship, and so many happy smiles!

Our choir had the joy of singing “Praise Him! Praise Him!”—and the sweetest part was having Joyce join us and sing right along! 🎶❤️ What a special moment and a beautiful memory for all of us!

A huge thank you to Brittany and her mom, Hudson, and Michael for the wonderful food, beautiful decorations, and all the love and care they put into making this celebration so special! 💕

We are so thankful to God for Joyce and for the blessing she is to so many people. Days like this are such a beautiful reminder of the gift of fellowship and how God blesses our lives through one another. ❤️

Happy 89th Birthday, Joyce! 🎂🎉
May God continue to bless you, surround you with His love, and fill the year ahead with His peace and joy! 🙏💕

🎶 Mansion Over the Hilltop 🎶

What a blessing to hear our Bluegrass Gospel Team sing “Mansion Over the Hilltop” this morning, with Terry singing the solo! ❤️🎶

What a beautiful reminder that our greatest hope is not found in the things of this world, but in Jesus and the eternal home He has prepared for us.

We are heaven bound! 🙏✨

So thankful for our Bluegrass Gospel Team and for this beautiful message of hope shared through music today! ❤️🎶

🎶 This Week at Springfield Presbyterian Church 🎶

What a wonderful week of sharing, fellowship, and making music together! ❤️

🍅 We’ve been blessed with lots of fresh vegetables from our church family’s gardens! Thank you to everyone who shared—we’ve loved taking home and enjoying all those fresh garden goodies! 🥒

🎶 Our Choir had a great rehearsal this week! What a joy it is to sing and praise God together! Our Christmas Cantata rehearsals kick off September 9! We’d love to have you join us! 🎄🎶

🗓️Our Christian Ed team enjoyed dinner together while making plans for the months ahead. Lots of fun and meaningful things are coming this fall and winter! 🍂

“Don’t Forget the Small Stuff”

Scripture: Matthew 5:21–26

Jesus is the ultimate Peacemaker.

He came to us. He took our sin. He bore our judgment. And through His death and resurrection, He made peace with God possible.

Jesus isn’t simply giving us a command to become better people. He’s calling us to become people who have experienced His grace.

And if Christ has reconciled us to God, then we become people who pursue reconciliation with one another.

We don’t just avoid hurting people. We pursue healing.
We don’t just keep the peace. We make peace.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.”

Through this beautiful song, our hearts were reminded of the wonderful hope we have in Christ—the day when sorrow and pain will be no more, and we will see Jesus face to face. What a glorious day that will be!❤️

“Jesus, The Law, and You”

Scripture: Matthew 5:17–20

God’s Law is like a mirror—it exposes our sin, but it cannot wash us clean.

What we could never do, Jesus did for us. He fulfilled the Law and paid our spiritual debt in full with His own precious blood.

✨ “You don’t have to clean yourself up before you come to Him—you come to Him to be made clean.”

True righteousness isn’t about outward performance. It’s about receiving a new heart from the Holy Spirit, so that real, living obedience grows naturally from the inside out. ✨
