Jeremiah can be a hard read, it’s full of God’s declared wrath against Judah for their wicked sins against Him. Remember though that mercy is extended frequently throughout Jeremiah’s proclamation of God’s judgment. He is a patient and merciful God! Also, check the reading for next Sunday at the bottom right corner 👀

Last night we talked about how your experiences in salvation can confirm your trust in Christ and how by your own power, these things don’t happen. As followers of Christ, we seek to do good works (Eph 2:10 tells us we’re made for that 😊), but our good works don’t bring about our heart change, sanctification, or even the good blessings we get as a result of following Christ. These things are all a work of the Holy Spirit that He brings by His good will and pleasure 🙌

Don’t forget, obedience is very important in the life of the believer. It can even be the proof that someone is saved. But it does NOT save you! Only faith in Christ saves 😊

It makes my youth pastor heart so happy to see students from three different cohorts serving their church faithfully in leading worship through singing (and one not visible singing/playing keys). Seminole is such an amazing body of believers who understand the biblical truth that EVERYONE can serve and use their God given talents for His glory 🙌

Sometimes as Christians, we can make the mistake of thinking that the gospel only applies to people who are open to it…but the truth is that EVERYONE needs it. The gospel is consistent and doesn’t change based on location or culture!
