It is impossible to express how grateful we are to meet Jesus, receive His guidance, experience His grace, and live in joy. We feel deep gratitude knowing that we sleep in happiness and rise in hope. Life in Jesus brings nothing but happiness and thanksgiving.
Thinking, "How frustrating must it be for fish to live underwater?" is merely a lie planted by the devil.
John 13:2
The devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus.
Satan plants thoughts of unbelief. If our hearts are not grounded in the Word, we will be led away by the thoughts Satan places in us.
The land represents our physical flesh. As water rises over the land, it lifts the ark, making the ark drift further away from the land and closer to the heavens. When we fail to trust God, we take full responsibility for our own lives, filling ourselves with anxiety and worry. However, when Jesus comes into our hearts, all the burdens of our troubles depart.
Hebrews 5:12–13
In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness.
In the heart of a person who fails, there is a worm called "carelessness." Even while witnessing God at work in the church, rather than seeking to draw closer to Him, they hold onto an attitude of doing things half-heartedly. Yet, we must realize how wise and happy a life spent with the Lord truly is. People need to surrender their own self-will, but they fail to break their stubborn hearts.
King Herod took his brother's wife as his own.
Mark 6:18, 20
For John had been saying to Herod, "It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife." ... because Herod feared John and protected him, knowing him to be a righteous and holy man. When Herod heard John, he was greatly puzzled; yet he listened to him gladly.
After committing sin with Uriah's wife, David immediately broke his proud heart before God. King Herod, however, did not turn away from his fleshly desires; instead, he had John the Baptist beheaded.
Even though Herod committed evil and sinned, God still loved him. God sent John the Baptist to extend His grace to Herod. Human beings' greatest evil is refusing to turn their hearts back to God. May we always live a faith that continually receives His grace.
