What if you knew next Sunday was the last day of your life on earth.

Would you want to be with your whole family together with the people of God at church, singing, praising and blessing someone else with the gift God gave you to use?
Would you call in to your job and say thank you for the privilege of working for you but I will not be there this Sunday?
Would you go to the altar and pray and repent all week like you never have in your entire life?
Would you read the holy Word of God fervently and with meaning all week?
Would you with haste stop anything that might hinder your relationship with God and Christ regardless of the suffering?
Would all the possessions in your life that you worried about and meant the world to you loose their luster and importance?

Or, would you continue your life as usual?

I find there is one thing missing and there is one reason why it is missing. It is not leadership gurus that is missing. It is not entertainment that is missing. It is not conferences, marketing, Easter egg hunts, Santa Claus, Trunk or Treat nights, photo bombs, or smiling faces all the time that is missing. It’s not awards, boasting about how many were baptized, and got their membership papers. What is missing is obedience to what they know the Word of God teaches. The only thing that keeps a Church and a Christian from obedience to God is that there is no reverential fear of God in our churches or the people. They believe that God understands their disobedience and because of His love they have their ticket to Heaven regardless of how they choose to live and the priorities in their daily life. This Sunday we are going to looking at Part 2 of the message, The Fear of God – The Middle.
