🎉🏕️Come Cheer on Trail Life USA at the Effingham County Fair Parade! 🇺🇸

Trail Life USA at First Baptist Church of Springfield will be part of the 2026 Effingham County Fair Parade today, Monday, October 19!

The parade begins at 5:00 PM in downtown Springfield.

We hope you’ll come out, find a spot along the parade route, and cheer on our Trail Life boys!

❤️ God’s Mission House Food Pantry

We have been blessed with the opportunity to help so many families at God’s Mission House recently, and our supply of dry food items is starting to run a little low.

If you would like to help replenish the pantry, donations of dry food items would be greatly appreciated! Every donation helps us continue serving families in our community. ❤️

📍 Donations can be dropped off at God’s Mission House
Monday–Wednesday | 9:45–11:45 AM

📍 Or at First Baptist Church of Springfield
Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–4:30 PM

🍂 October Food Drive 🥫

A new month brings a new featured item for our God’s Mission House food pantry! This October, we are collecting canned beans.

As always, all other nonperishable food items are welcome and appreciated as well!

🙏 Prayer Chapel Update

The Prayer Chapel is currently closed until further notice while repairs are being completed. During this time, the chapel will not be available for use. We’ll keep everyone updated and let you know when the Prayer Chapel is open again.

In the meantime, we came across some really special and unique photos from when the Prayer Chapel was being built, and we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to share them with our church family. 📸

These photos capture a special part of our church’s history, including some familiar faces and cherished memories from years past. Among those pictured is our beloved former Senior Pastor, Jeff Rollins, who remains deeply missed by our church family. ❤️

We hope you enjoy taking a look back at these moments and remembering the people and memories that have helped shape First Baptist Church of Springfield.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back into the Prayer Chapel once the repairs are complete!
