Moral Mondays with Repairers of the Breach

It’s time for us to bear witness to the shame of this nation and do our part to change the world.

If we want things to change, we must heed the words of Frederick Douglass:

“Those who profess to favor freedom and yet depreciate agitation, are people who want crops without ploughing the ground; they want rain without thunder and lightning; they want the ocean without the roar of its many waters. The struggle may be a moral one, or it may be a physical one, or it may be both. But it must be a struggle. Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will.” His words of advice were to Agitate. Agitate. Agitate.”

Every Monday this Summer, the Repairers of the Breach (led by William Barber II and Dr. Hanna Broome) are gathering in front of the White House to Build a Public Pulpit and be a Prophetic Witness in the Public Square. On June 29th, this witness returns, Rev. Dr. TLC will be among those using her voice to speak truth to power and advocating that this nation:

• Stop the war
• Stop the attacks on voting rights
• Stop the attacks on the poor
