Hello, OLSH family,

Sr Connie decided that her services would take place at Sacred Heart Church on Chestnut St. The Sisters of St Joseph have informed me that they will be this Friday September 18th at Sacred Heart with a wake and prayer service from 9am to 10am, Funeral Mass at 10am, and burial following at Mont Marie. We will schedule a Memorial Mass on October 21st (Sr Connie’s birthday) at 11am so we as OLSH community can come together to remember her in a special way.

You are in our prayers as we all come to grips with the loss of such a special servant to our parish!

Parishioners at the 4pm, Sr Connie’s preferred Mass, reacted with shock, emotion, and just heartfelt thankfulness for a life well lived, when they found out the news of her passing. We honored her with a photo of her standing next to St Joseph’s statue on his Feast Day, together with some flowers and a candle. They aren’t enough to say how grateful we are to this faithful servant for all she has done for us at OLSH. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, and her community, the Sisters of Saint Joseph.

Good morning OLSH family. I’m sad to tell you that Sr Connie has gone home to the Lord this morning. We will of course let you know when we know of the details for her funeral arrangements. We give thanks today for an incredible woman and her years of service to our parish. Today on the memorial of the Holy Name of Mary, let us invoke our Lady’s prayers for our beloved Sr Connie!
