Happy Pentecost Sunday 🌬️🔥🕊️‼️ Here are snippets from today’s services from the Banks Chapel-St. John Charge. Don’t we look good in our red⁉️ And we had a Pentecost-good-time in service today; you (🫵🏾) just had to be there.
Pastor J preached on “The Parting Gift!” based off of St. John 14: 15-18 & Acts 2:1-4; with the focus text being St. John 14: 15-18.
Pastor J said John 14 reminds us:
•God is still present.
•The Holy Spirit still comforts.
•Jesus still keeps His promises.
•We are not abandoned or orphaned.
He said a central truth of the text is: The presence of God is not limited to a building, a moment, or a feeling. Through the Holy Spirit, God dwells with and within His people continually.
Pastor J went on to say that Pentecost reminds us that God never abandons His people.
The Holy Spirit is evidence that God remains near even when life feels uncertain.
In other words, YOU…ME…WE ARE NOT ALONE‼️
