Just because you’re in the den doesn’t mean God left you.

Daniel was faithful and still found himself surrounded by lions. But the lions discovered something: God had already placed a limit on what they could do.

Some things may be roaring around you right now, but that doesn’t mean they have permission to consume you.

Sometimes God doesn’t remove the den—He removes the bite.

Sometimes the greatest evidence of your faith isn’t what you do when everything is going well—it’s what you keep doing when pressure tells you to stop.

Daniel didn’t allow the decree to change his devotion. He kept praying. He kept trusting. He kept his pattern.

DIRECTIONS TO THE ROCK — I'M HEADED TO THE ROCK!

What do you do when your heart gets overwhelmed?

You need directions to the Rock.

*Cry from where you are.

*Let God lead you higher.

*Remember what the Rock has already done.

*Stay under the covering.

Pastor Mark Baymon Jr.'s message, “Directions to the Rock,” from Massachusetts First Jurisdiction's 102nd Holy Convocation reminds us that being overwhelmed doesn't mean we've lost our faith. It means we need to remember where to go.

You don't have to wander. You don't have to figure everything out by yourself. You already have directions.

“From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” — Psalm 61:2

Whatever this day brings, make this your declaration:

WHEN MY HEART GETS OVERWHELMED, I'M HEADED TO THE ROCK!

DIRECTIONS TO THE ROCK — STAY UNDER THE COVERING

Don't only run to God when the storm comes. Learn to stay close when the skies are clear.

Psalm 61:4 speaks of abiding in God's presence and trusting under the covering of His wings.

God doesn't only want to be the place we run during emergencies. He wants to be the place where we live.

Today's devotional challenges us to remain in prayer, remain in His Word, remain obedient, and remain under His covering.

“I will trust in the covert of thy wings.” — Psalm 61:4

When my heart gets overwhelmed, I'm headed to the Rock!
