Our children deserve an early start in understanding how money works and seeing what is possible for their future.
That is the vision behind Stevie Academics, an animated educational series featuring a young Black boy named Stevie Academics and his dad, JC. His name reflects his curiosity and love of learning discovering how everyday lessons can help him grow, make thoughtful choices, and pursue big dreams.
Rooted in Six Corners, an underserved urban neighborhood in Springfield, Massachusetts, the series reflects the families, experiences, and possibilities within our community while welcoming children everywhere.
Our early episodes introduce financial literacy through simple stories about saving, patience, and working toward a goal. The broader series explores five pathways: financial literacy and economic mobility; the food economy; environmental stewardship; health and wellness; and technology, AI, and innovation.
Parents and caregivers, sit with your children as they watch and learn. Educators, watch with your students. Encourage their questions and help their curiosity grow.
Community partners and investors, help us bring these learning opportunities to Black families and children in our urban neighborhoods. Together, we can nurture their confidence and help them imagine what they can achieve.
