Numbers 31:19-24 CSB
"You are to remain outside the camp for seven days. All of you and your prisoners who have killed a person or touched the dead are to purify yourselves on the third day and the seventh day. Also purify everything: garments, leather goods, things made of goat hair, and every article of wood." Then the priest Eleazar said to the soldiers who had gone to battle, "This is the legal statute the LORD commanded Moses: The gold, silver, bronze, iron, tin, and lead- everything that can withstand fire-you are to pass through fire, and it will be clean. It must still be purified with the purification water. Anything that cannot withstand fire, pass through the water. On the seventh day wash your clothes, and you will be clean. After that you may enter the camp."

While reading this, I thought of baptism today... baptism in water and baptism in the Fire of the Holy Spirit. Both water and fire can purify, but only fire refines and burns out the impurities.

Malachi 3:2-4 CSB
"But who can endure the day of his coming? And who will be able to stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner's fire and like launderer's bleach. He will be like a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver. Then they will present offerings to the LORD in righteousness. And the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will please the LORD as in days of old and years gone by."

God has sent the Holy Spirit to be a refining fire in us to purify us to stand before him when we bring our offerings of praise before him in righteousness.

Shalom Brothers!

Isaiah 57:13-19 CSB
"Whoever takes refuge in me will inherit the land and possess my holy mountain.
He said, "Build it up, build it up, prepare the way, remove every obstacle from my people's way." For the High and Exalted One, who lives forever, whose name is holy, says this: "I live in a high and holy place, and with the oppressed and lowly of spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and revive the heart of the oppressed. For I will not accuse you forever, and I will not always be angry; for then the spirit would grow weak before me, even the breath, which I have made. Because of his sinful greed I was angry, so I struck him; I was angry and hid; but he went on turning back to the desires of his heart. I have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will lead him and restore comfort to him and his mourners, creating words of praise." The LORD says, "Peace, peace to the one who is far or near, and I will heal him."

Even when we turn our back on God, he still pursues us and seeks to heal us. His desire is to see us walking/living in Shalom under the shadow of his wing. Turn your heart to him (or back to him) and walk in peace today!
Love you guys!

Men, my wife shared this and it hits me hard. We should not be "one-upping" one another. Ephesians 5:25-28 CSB
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself for her to make her holy, cleansing her with the washing of water by the word. He did this to present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or anything like that, but holy and blameless. In the same way, husbands are to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
We are one to care for them to present them holy and blameless without spot or blemish. Don't be afraid to admit when you are wrong, ask for help when you need it. Surround yourself with wise counsel. Love your wife!

After years of counseling married couples, the one thing I tell every wife is this…. In the middle of the argument, before it goes any further, stop. Look at your husband and say, I am on your team. Help me understand where you are coming from because I genuinely want to understand. I want to support you.

I know that may sound strange. I know in the middle of a heated moment the last thing that feels natural is to soften. Everything in you wants to defend yourself. To make sure you are heard. To win the point you are absolutely certain you are right about. But stay with me for a second.

The moment you stop and say I am on your team, something shifts. Not just in the conversation. In the atmosphere of the room. Because what you just did is remind both of you of the truth the argument was trying to make you forget.

You are not opponents. You are one.

And then you pray. Right there. In the middle of it. Before it goes to a place that is going to take three days to come back from. Before the words get said that cannot be unsaid. Before the enemy takes what started as a misunderstanding and turns it into a wound that quietly lives in the walls of your home for months.

You stop. And you pray.

Because here is what I have watched happen in marriage after marriage after marriage. The couple that learns to pray in the middle of the argument instead of at the end of it changes the entire atmosphere of their home. Not just the argument. The home.

Ephesians 4:26 says do not let the sun go down on your anger. Do not give the devil a foothold. A foothold. That is what an unresolved argument becomes in a home. Not just tension between two people. A foothold. An open door. A place the enemy gets to stand in your marriage and your house because two people who love each other let their pride stay louder than their covenant.

You close that door when you pray together. Every single time.

I have sat across from couples who were ready to walk away. And I have watched the atmosphere of a marriage shift in a single moment when one of them, usually the wife, was brave enough to stop the argument and say I am on your team. And then bow their head.

Your home is not just where your arguments happen. It is where your covenant lives. And a covered marriage produces a covered home. And a covered home produces children who grow up knowing what it looks like when two people choose each other even when it is hard.

That is the legacy. Built one prayer in the middle of one argument at a time.

Comment COVERED below and I will send you the link to The Covered Home, a 30-day prayer and declaration guide that will teach you how to cover every room, every relationship, and every covenant inside the most sacred ground God ever gave you.

Stop the argument, sister. Pray instead. Your home will never be the same.

Our words have power... power to build up and power to tear down, power to fill us with good fruit or bad fruit. God's word is good, his promises are forever, His word does not come back void, it satiates us when we take it in.

Proverbs 18:20-21 CSB
From the fruit of a person's mouth his stomach is satisfied; he is filled with the product of his lips. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Psalm 34:8-10 CSB
Taste and see that the LORD is good. How happy is the person who takes refuge in him! You who are his holy ones, fear the LORD, for those who fear him lack nothing. Young lions lack food and go hungry, but those who seek the LORD will not lack any good thing.

I have always told my family to speak life, that our words build others up, however our words are also for ourselves! When we speak the promises of God over our own life, we can be satisfied and have life or we can be left wanting and bring death to our body.

When I spend time in prayer and fasting, I actually get energized and feel physically full. I have never thought about it from these two passages in scripture but it makes sense now that I think about it. The more time I spend in scripture and prayer, the less I want fleshly desires.

What are you doing to satisfy your spiritual hunger?
Are you seeking and speaking good fruit or filling your "stomach" with unsatisfying things?
Speak life over your soul today
Love you guys!

Psalm 71:5-8,12-19 NASB
[5] For You are my hope; O Lord GOD, You are my confidence from my youth. By You I have been sustained (literally "upon You I have been supported") from my birth; You are He who took me from my mother's womb; My praise is continually of You. I have become a marvel to many, For You are my strong refuge. My mouth is filled with Your praise And with Your glory all day long.... [12] O God, do not be far from me; O my God, hasten to my help! Let those who are adversaries of my soul be ashamed and consumed; Let them be covered with reproach and dishonor, who seek to injure me. But as for me, I will hope continually, And will praise You yet more and more. My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness And of Your salvation all day long; For I do not know the sum of them. I will come with the mighty deeds of the Lord GOD; I will make mention of Your righteousness, Yours alone. O God, You have taught me from my youth, And I still declare Your wondrous deeds. And even when I am old and gray, O God, do not forsake me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to all who are to come. For Your righteousness, O God, reaches to the heavens, You who have done great things; O God, who is like You?
Think about a time that you have been supported by God...what does that look like? Do you share testimony of that side of God? Do you tell others of His Righteousness in your life? Share one testimony here in this group of that time.

I'll share first...God is righteous to heal us. I used to have high blood pressure, a resting heart rate of 110, asthma, chronic bronchitis, and several other secondary health issues related to these. God used an evangelist to pray for me and he said God was healing me of it all (he named everything wrong and I had never met him before) about a week later I called my doctor because I felt like something was wrong and after a few tests he told me that my meds were making me sick and took me off of everything and I haven't been on them since, that was 15+ years ago! GOD IS GOOD, AND HIS MERCY ENDURES FOREVER!!
