We are a group of believers who gather together simply to remember the Lord Jesus Christ according to His instructions as recorded in Bible passages such as Matthew 26:26-29, Mark 14:22-25, Luke 22:17-20, John 13:12-30 and 1 Corinthians 11:23-34. We gather to spread the truths of the Bible according to His great commission as recorded in Matthew 28:19-20; to stress the necessity of personal faith
in Christ which, by His Grace, leads to salvation (Acts 4:12, 1 Peter 1:3-9, 1 Timothy 1:14-15, and Ephesians 2:8-10); to maintain sound Biblical doctrine (2 Timothy 1:13-14, 4:1-5); and to mutually promote spiritual growth toward maturity (Colossians 1:9-12, Ephesians 4:1-3 and 12-15) which results in personal obedience to Christ’s commandments including His great commandment, a longing for the His imminent return, and behavior consistent with these principles and beliefs. Our assemblies have no church organization, headquarters, presiding bishops, appointed elders or ordained clergy. Yet there is not independency. Our assemblies function together, “endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (Ephesians 4:3 ). Each assembly is a local expression of the whole Church and recognizes one another's actions in the name of the Lord and according to God’s Word as authoritative and binding everywhere (Matthew 18:18 ). We acknowledge that Christ is the Head of the Church and has given gifts unto His Assembly, such as prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, and that “unto every one of us the gift of Christ…for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:7-12 ). So these assemblies do not have a “one man” or an “any man,” or a humanly ordained ministry, but a ministry of gifts which Christ has given to His Church.
