Our second Timberline Award recipient this year is Liam Zimmer! As part of his journey in Trail Life, Liam chose to complete a meaningful service project focused on compassion, leadership, and community impact. Recognizing the needs within our local homeless community, he organized a
donation drive to collect essential items and assemble care packages for those experiencing hardship. He partnered with the Homeless Outreach at his church to distribute these care packages.
Through planning, outreach, and hands on service, he demonstrated initiative and a servants heart—encouraging others to contribute and take part in making a difference. The collected donations were thoughtfully organized into care packages containing practical necessities, providing both physical support and a reminder that members of the community care. His goal was to make 50 care packages, however, was able to collect essential items and assemble way more than he set out to!
The project reflects the values of Trail Life: service, responsibility, and leadership. By identifying a need in mobilizing resources to meet it, he has shown growth not only as a Trailman, but as a young man committed to serving others.
Way to go Liam! We are very proud of you! Congratulations!
