Reading Hosea Chapter 3 NLT
vs 1 Then the LORD said to me, “Go and love your wife again, even though she commits adultery with another lover. This will illustrate that the LORD still loves Israel, even though the people have turned to other gods and love to worship them.”
Vs 4-5 This shows that Israel will go a long time without a king or prince, and without sacrifices, sacred pillars, priests, or even idols! But afterward the people will return and devote themselves to the LORD their God and to David’s descendant, their king. In the last days, they will tremble in awe of the LORD and of his goodness.

The Lord is so loving and longing!

The LORD’S Mercy on Israel s 14-23
Vs 21-23 “And in that day I will answer, declares the LORD,
I will answer the heavens,and they shall answer the earth,
and the earth shall answer the grain, the w**e, and the oil,
and they shall answer Jezreel,
and I will sow her for myself in the land.
And I will have mercy on No Mercy,
and I will say to Not My People, You are my people’;
and he shall say, ‘You are my God.’”

Reading Hosea Chapter 1 ESV
God instructed Hosea to marry a woman in whoredom. First child is male and he named, Jezreel. Second child is female and is called, “No Mercy”. Third child is male and named, “Not My People”
Through these names God was revealing what Israel had become.

Starting a new Book…Hosea…September 3rd
Introduction: ESV
Hosea has been called the “death-bed prophet of Israel” because he was the last to prophesy before the northern kingdom fell to Assyria (about 722 B.C.). His ministry followed a golden age in the northern kingdom, with a peace and prosperity not seen since the days of Solomon. Unfortunately, with this prosperity came moral decay, and Israel forsook God to worship idols. So God instructed Hosea to marry a “wife of whoredom” (1:2), whose unfaithfulness to her husband would serve as an example of Israel’s unfaithfulness to God. Hosea then explained God’s complaint against Israel and warned of the punishment that would come unless the people returned to the Lord and remained faithful to him. The book shows the depth of God’s love for his people, a love that tolerates no rivals.

The Time of the End
Vs 7-10 And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream; he raised his right hand and his left hand toward heaven and swore by him who lives forever that it would be for a time, times, and half a time, and that when the shattering of the power of the holy people comes to an end all these things would be finished. I heard, but I did not understand. Then I said, “O my lord, what shall be the outcome of these things?” He said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end. Many shall purify themselves and make themselves white and be refined, but the wicked shall act wickedly. And none of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand.

Daniel’s Terrifying Vision of a Man
Daniel had set himself to seek the Lord, three weeks had passed and he was standing by the River Tigris with other men. All of a sudden he is met with a lively vision, the men did not see, but felt it and fled.
Daniel is told he is greatly loved, and reveals things to Daniel.
