I don’t want to let today slip by. Because moments matter.
Let’s watch for those moments today where we are given the choice to let anger, envy or something else negative slip in.
And when one shows up, let’s recognize it. Refute it. And then replace it with God’s spirit of love.

DO WHAT GOD HAS TOLD YOU
“By faith Noah…built an ark.”
—Hebrews 11:7 NIV
Good Sunday morning, SisterFriend. 🤎
Noah built the ark because God told him to build it. Every plank he cut, every nail he hammered, and every day he continued working was an act of faith and obedience.
Noah did not have to understand everything God was doing. He simply had to trust the One who gave him the instructions.
That makes me pause and ask:
What has God already told me to do?
Is there an instruction I have delayed because it seems too small?
Is there a step I have avoided because I cannot see the entire plan?
Am I waiting for more confirmation when God has already spoken?
Sometimes we are looking for God to reveal something new while overlooking the last thing He told us to do.
This week, our Scriptures will lead us through a beautiful progression:
We will seek God with the hunger of David in Psalm 63.
We will recognize where our Father is working in John 5.
We will offer our lives to Him in Romans 12.
We will remember His teaching in Proverbs 3.
We will pray, “Not my will, but Yours,” with Jesus in Luke 22.
We will learn to abide in Christ through John 15.
And we will be challenged to take up our cross and follow Him daily in Luke 9.
Do you see it, SisterFriend?
God is inviting us to seek Him, recognize His activity, surrender our will, remain close to Jesus, and obey what He reveals.
Obedience may not always look dramatic. It may look like making the phone call, offering forgiveness, opening your Bible, praying before responding, serving someone quietly, setting a boundary, showing up consistently, or completing the work God placed in your hands.
Whatever tool you use—a keyboard, mop, microphone, spreadsheet, Bible, mixing bowl, lesson plan, or coffee pot—it can become an instrument of worship when placed in God’s hands.
Do not dismiss the small thing God has asked you to do.
Noah’s obedience did not begin when the rain started. It began when he picked up the first piece of wood.
Perhaps it will begin with your next obedient yes.
Do what God has told you.

Heavely Father, thank you that I don’t have to fight or struggle with this. Help me to do what you said, and learn to rest knowing you will handle it, even when it comes to the hearts of others. Help me to submit to your will and righteousness. I will do my part. I give you great praise for doing yours. I trust you, and I choose to abundantly rest. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

COME JUST TO KNOW HIM 🍪🤎

SisterFriend, what if this morning you came to God with no list?
No request. No problem to solve. No door you need Him to open.
Just you saying,
“God, I just want to know You.”
In Exodus 33:13, Moses prayed:
“Show me now Your way, that I may know You…”
Moses wasn’t only asking God to go with him. He wanted to know God Himself.
It reminds me of the old story told about Abraham Lincoln. A woman came to see him carrying a plate of cookies. She wasn’t asking for a favor or needing anything from him. She simply wanted to bring him something.
That picture stayed with me.
Because how often do we come into God’s presence carrying our requests, our worries, our needs, our questions—and God absolutely invites us to bring those things to Him.
But what if sometimes we came carrying something else?
Our worship.
Our gratitude.
Our attention.
Our time.
Our heart.
Paul said, “that I may know Him…” — Philippians 3:10.
That is the deeper invitation.
Not just, “God, give me.”
But, “God, show me Your ways.”
Not just, “God, fix this.”
But, “God, help me know You.”
Not just seeking His hand—
but desiring His heart.
So this Saturday morning, maybe leave the long list outside the door for a moment.
Sit with Him.
And simply pray:
“Father, I’m not coming to ask for anything right now. I just want to know You. Show me Your ways. Show me Your heart. Teach me who You are.”
Because the greatest gift is not simply what God can give us.
The greatest gift is God Himself.

🍪 SATURDAY QUESTION:
If you came to God this morning with nothing to ask for, what would you bring Him instead?

“Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.”—2 Peter 1:2 NIV

Sisterfriends, God has called us to prayer—not only when we are in trouble, but as a way of life.

Join us for our first Prayer Live of September as we pray for open spiritual eyes, attentive hearts, and the ability to RECOGNIZE where God is already working.

Let’s develop the habit of praying, make room to hear God’s voice, and prepare our hearts to respond to Him.

God is already at work. Let’s meet Him in prayer! 🙌🏾
