Don’t miss the moment because you are so concerned with the why…. His thoughts are not your.- and you as a humans could never understand it. And He already told you - sit at my feet.
As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” -Luke 10:38-42

When we put work before worship, we put the cart before the horse. The cart is important; so is the horse. But the horse must come first, or we end up pulling the cart ourselves. Frustrated and weary, we can nearly break under the pressure of service, for there is always something that needs to be done. When we first spend time in His presence–when we take time to hear His voice–God provides the horsepower we need to pull the heaviest load. He saddles up Grace and invites us to take a ride.” p. 10

God of Strength
David wrote Psalm 143 during a season when he felt exhausted, overwhelmed, and surrounded by trouble. Yet instead of focusing on everything that was going wrong, he chose to remember everything God had already done.
How often do we do the opposite?
We replay our fears, our unanswered questions, and the decisions in front of us. We worry about choosing the wrong path or making the wrong move. But David shows us a better way. He lifts his eyes to God and says, “Let me experience Your faithful love in the morning, for I trust in You.” (Psalm 143:8)
The answer was not found in having all the answers. The answer was found in trusting the God who leads.
Maybe today your soul feels weary. Maybe you’re facing a decision, a challenge, or a season you didn’t expect. Remember this: God has a perfect track record of faithfulness. The same God who guided David will guide you.
Take the next step. Trust His heart. Let His good Spirit lead you on level ground.
Have a great week because the joy of the Lord is our strength!

☕ Come Join Us at the Table This Week! ☕

Theme: Choosing Presence Over Pressure

This week we'll explore what it means to slow down, sit at Jesus' feet, abide in His presence, and find rest for our souls.

📖 Read before you join us:
• Luke 10:38–42
• Matthew 11:28–30
• Proverbs 1:1–3
• Exodus 33:14
• John 15:4–5
• Isaiah 30:15

In a world that celebrates busyness, these passages remind us that our strength is found in His presence, not our performance.

Grab your Bible, your coffee, and your thoughts, and join us for an illuminating discussion each morning at 5:00 AM on Instagram LIVE.

☕ Read the passages.
📖 Come ready to engage.
💛 Let's grow together.

See you at the Table and invite another sisterfriend and share the passage with her as well

June Invitation:

SisterFriend,
As we step into a brand-new month, I want to invite you to join us for something simple, life-giving, and deeply needed.

This month, we'll begin reading Psalm 143 together while also starting our new book, Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World by Joanna Weaver.

What a beautiful place to begin.

David opens Psalm 143 feeling overwhelmed, weary, and desperate for God's help. Yet in the middle of his struggle, he turns his heart toward the One who is his strength. How many of us know what it feels like to carry worries, fears, responsibilities, and the endless "what ifs" of life?

The truth is, we were never meant to carry them alone.

One of the greatest weapons against worry is the presence of God. As we sit at His feet like Mary, we discover that His strength is greater than our fears, His peace is stronger than our anxiety, and His faithfulness carries us through every season.

"Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; may Your gracious Spirit lead me on level ground." — Psalm 143:10

This June, let's slow down together.
- Spend with the Lord.
- Read Psalm 143.
- Join us as we begin Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World.
-Follow along with our daily reflection prompts shared in the comments.
-Pray with us as we seek God's strength throughout the month.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, tired, uncertain, or simply longing for more of God, there is a place for you at His feet.

Let's choose presence over pressure.
Let's trade worry for worship.
Let's discover again that our God is our strength.

💜 Comment below: "I'm in!" if you'll be joining us this month.

And, it is His strength that takes your sins and hurls them into the utmost part of the sea never to condemn you again.

“He is the strength of my life, not only the protector of my exposed life, who keeps me from being slain, but the strength of my frail weak life, who keeps me from fainting, sinking, and dying away.” Charles Spurgeon
