Have you had your picture taken for the new church pictorial directory yet? This is the last week photos will be taken (you can also submit photos).

Two photo opportunities are available:
Thursday, September 10 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm and
Sunday, September 13 from 10:00am to 1:00pm

Haley Defelice of Haley Jaye Photography will be taking pictures each of those days. She will be providing a link to an online photo gallery to access the picture that was taken. This will be a first come first served schedule. If you have a family picture you’d like to submit, you can email it to the church office at [email protected].

It does allow for voicemail to be left and retrieved, so until it can be corrected, please leave a message (with name & number) and Nina will call you. Or you can email the office with a note saying you need to talk to Nina and she will give you a call.

That means Sunday School and Confirmation resume -- but first we prepare with a few meetings tonight:
Youth Team Meeting 6:00pm,
Confirmation Guide Meeting 6:30pm,
Sunday school Teacher Meeting 7:15pm

This is the week we've been planning for -- we launch our celebrations for our 75th Anniversary as a church! It was a "Leap of Faith" for Zion Lutheran and Trinity Lutheran to merge into one church 75 years ago, and Our Savior's Lutheran has continued leaping forward in faith ever since!

Join us this Sunday starting with our 9 am Worship Service as we celebrate!
Our Sunday School year launches with our Blessing of the backpacks after worship, and fellowship, fun and music will be in full force by 10:30 with our meal starting at 11 am.

REMINDER -- The Church Office is closed in observance of Labor Day -- Monday September 7, 2026.

As we rest from labor, we invite you to pray with us:
Lord of life, you have given us six days on which to work, and modeled resting in your word on the sabbath. We give thanks for fair labor practices that offer time for rest and leisure as balance to our daily work. We pray for good and productive work in our daily professions and pursuits for the welfare of our neighbors. We pray for just and safe working conditions for all, for living wages, for honor and dignity in our employment. We pray that you work against all forces that steal human dignity or rob communities of the economic support they need from their labors to live sufficiently and well. For all those who defend the dignity of work, and all those who help us discover how to connect our faith to work, we give you thanks; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We continue to use name tags during worship and other events to build community and help Pastor Tami learn everyone’s names. This weekend Pastor Tami is wearing a name tag too as a reminder not to assume others know who we are … and in solidarity to those faithfully remembering to wear a name tag each week.

Our Savior's is looking for an Audio/Visual Tech Support person to run PowerPoint for Sunday morning services. This position would also upload the recorded service to YouTube. The job description is currently being rewritten and will be posted soon.
