Heavenly Father, I lift to you my praise and worship, humbly kneeling before you. I ask for your forgiveness for the sins of my heart, mind, and body. I pray that you will allow your Holy Spirit to fill, guide, teach, and lead me in and through all things. Open my eyes to see, my heart to love, my mind to understand, and strengthen my hands to reach out in love to all around me. Walk with me this day and all the days ahead. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

Today’s Devotion
October 31, 2026

“Jesus Cares for You”

“But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. So when you have repented and turned to me again, strengthen your brothers.” Luke 22:32 NLT

Jesus knew that Peter was going to deny Him. He knew who Peter was. He knew Peter was human and struggled in the same way that you do. So what did Jesus do? He pleaded in prayer for him! He prayed that Peter would not become so discouraged that he would give up. Instead, Jesus desired that Peter would repent and turn back to God. And then, in renewed faith, Peter would go and help others. This same Jesus comes to you. He knows your life. He knows your struggles, and He is pleading in prayer for you. He wants you to repent and turn back to Him. Jesus doesn’t define you by your past, your faults, your weaknesses, or your sins. Neither should you! God deeply loves you, and His death and resurrection have taken away all your sins. This is good news. This is grace. Today, believe it, accept it, and strengthen others with God’s grace in the same way He has strengthened you.

Lord Jesus, thank you for pleading in prayer for me. Thank you for your loving kindness toward me. Thank you for your forgiveness of all my sins. Please help me to share this truth with others so they will be strengthened too. In your name, amen.

Lord God, the old saying is, ‘Another day, another dollar,’ but I don’t want today to be just another day of repetition of previous days. I want this day and every day to be special – a day spent praising you, glorifying you, walking in your presence and feeling your touch deep in my heart. I want to live joyously for you in all that I say and do. I want others to see the joy of a heartfelt relationship with you overflowing in my life. I want them to see and want what we have so they too can know the joy of knowing you as Lord. I pray these things in the name of Jesus, amen.

Today’s Devotion
October 30, 2026

“Kindness”

“But the fruit of the Spirit is – kindness.” Galatians 5:22 NIV

Kindness is not an option. It is not something we can decide to do only if it is convenient. It is evidence of the Holy Spirit alive in our life. Jesus instructed us to behave toward others in the same way we want them to behave toward us. When have we ever turned away kindness? Paul admonishes us to esteem others better than ourselves. Kindness is love in action. I have seen family members say they love each other, but don't act kind toward each other. I have seen churches where kindness to each other is a rarity. You can be kind to someone without loving them, but you can't love someone and continually refuse to be kind to them. Today, resolve in your heart to be kind to those around you.

Father god, kindness can make such a difference in someone's life. Help me today to be your ambassador of kindness to all those I come in contact with. In Jesus’ name, amen.
