Save the date!! Our next Women’s event is Saturday September 26, at 6:00pm! Our Administrative assistant Jo Ellen Hatfield will be leading this event teaching “How to study your Bible.” This event is free, and a meal will be provided. This is a time for community, and fellowship, as we draw close together and to Jesus.

This Sunday at CCW, at 6pm, there will be a send-off and meal for Jeff and Kara Jacobs! After their years of faithful service, this is a way for the church body to show their appreciation for all they have done. All are invited to come. Bring a dish to share!

Next week Wednesday, we are beginning a new series in the evening on how to read and study the scriptures. Please let us know (via messenger or signup in the lobby on Sunday) if you would like to attend, and if you will need childcare, so that materials and onsite childcare volunteers can be scheduled!

We are continuing our spiritual discipline series, and are going through Part 2 on Prayer tomorrow! Pastor Jeff taught on the “Why” of prayer last week, and next we move into some of the practical “How to’s” of prayer. Our loving Heavenly Father eagerly longs for closeness with us, and through Jesus there is no longer any separation to block us. Did you know that the temple veil tore in two from top to bottom when Jesus gave up His spirit on the cross? It signified that Jesus bridged the gap for us right there - we can run to the Father freely, and expectantly!!

Tomorrow we kick off our spiritual disciplines series! We will take some time to go through these day to day practices to walk with our God. Check out Hebrews 12:1-12 for a preview.

This Sunday we are changing up our service format! In lieu of a typical sermon message, will have communion and an extended time of music, to worship our Savior Jesus Christ all together. Kids will be dismissed in the middle of service like normal to go to their classes in the kids area.

We are looking forward to this time where we can fellowship as a body of believers and worship our God. 🙏
