March 24th 2026 was a wonderful day and will share with you today.
The day started with my good friend Spencer Lindsay from Working Men of Christ arriving to pick up bibles. Wonderful project helping prior inmates as they transition back into society. The bible being a huge part of that transition.
When I checked my phone after Spencer left I had missed a call. It was from the sweetest lady that you have ever met that is living in an assisted living facility. When I called her back she was in need of a bible as she had given hers to her grandson. About 10 minutes after that conversation I arrived with 4 bibles in hand. She shared the story about being at one of the events listening to Connie and I. She loved the story that I shared about wearing Nathan's shoes. They were bigger than my feet, but I said that " I will never fill them, but I can walk in them."
In the meantime I was working with a jail making a plan to get more bibles to the facility. Not being in the facility since covid I was hoping that I would not only deliver bibles, but talk with my locked up friends. You got it, we're on for next week! Ain't that cool!
I was sharing with Spencer when he was picking up bibles that I had not heard from the Wichita Juvenile Center for quite a while. Within an hour I heard from my good friend Jim Hartsock, he stores our bibles at his warehouse, that he had been contacted by them and they were needing bibles. Next part was getting them there. After a few minutes from a Facebook post the Hieber family is going to deliver for us.
And the day continues,
Every Tuesday afternoon I go to ACT, drug rehab for juveniles in Kansas. 8 beautiful faces and some for the first time seeing a bible. To watch a youth grow in God's word is such a blessing. At the end one young lady had some tough questions. When she told me that she never was much on religion and I said me either she was taken back. She asked so what is it? I said Jesus. She had me sign her bible LoL.
Then I go across the street to JDC Johnson County Juvenile facility. 5 young men that another volunteer and I have been working with for months. Watching them grow and change has been amazing. They talked about how things happen at the center and they shared bible verses helping them do the right thing as situations came up. As the session was ending and I was looking forward to the next couple of groups the fire alarm went off. Don't think there was a fire, but the fire these kids had I can see how it set off the alarm. That ended my day.
I want to conclude by thanking everyone for helping us buy bibles. Without you it would not happen. If you would ever like to help just send donation to The Signatry, 7171 West 95th Street Suite 501 Overland Park, KS 66212. Just make the check out to The Signatry and put Nathan Project in the memo.
" Why live for anyone other than Jesus?"
