🌿 FREE Occupational Therapy at Church of The City - The Village! 🌿
We’re excited to welcome Belmont Occupational Therapy students to The Village for a special 10-week clinical experience—and that means FREE occupational therapy services for children in our community! 🎉
For 10 weeks, four OT students will be on site providing occupational therapy as part of their required clinical hours, under the supervision of Belmont’s occupational therapy program.
Occupational therapy can help children build skills and strategies for everyday life—including things like:
✨ Increasing independence with daily activities
✨ Improving strength, coordination, and mobility
This is a wonderful opportunity to receive quality OT services at no cost while also helping the next generation of occupational therapists gain valuable hands-on experience.

We’re so grateful for our partnership with Soles4Souls!  Through their generosity, more than 700 pairs of shoes were distributed across Tennessee, helping provide new shoes for students at our DCS Graduation Celebration and Back to School Carnival.

We’re so thankful for partners like Soles4Souls who help us meet practical needs and remind students that their community is cheering them on. Thank you for helping so many students step into a new season with confidence! 👟

In July, we hosted our 5th Back to School Carnival at the Spring Hill campus, welcoming 170 families and 571 children for an evening full of fun, community, and support. Kids enjoyed carnival games, a petting zoo, received a new backpack, picked out school age appropriate supplies, and a brand-new pair of tennis shoes.

We are so grateful for our generous partners, sponsors, and volunteers who made this possible. Seeing the children’s excitement each year is so special and we truly couldn’t have done it without you. THANK YOU!!

We were honored to help host the DCS Graduation Celebration, creating a space where high school and college graduates could be recognized, encouraged, and celebrated. Every student deserves to know their accomplishments matter, and it was a privilege to celebrate this milestone alongside them! Graduates not only enjoyed a day of celebration but also received gifts like luggage, new shoes, gift cards, and other resources to help them step confidently into their next season. Thank you to everyone who gave their time, resources, and hearts to make this day possible. Your generosity created memories these students will never forget and reminded them that they are deeply loved and supported.

Belmont Pediatric occupational therapy students will be on-site at The Village at Church of the City, Franklin, on Wednesdays starting in August.

This service is specifically for kids and families in the foster care system and those with special needs.

They will help provide treatment to help children meet developmental milestones, overcome sensory challenges, and improve self-care, play, and self-regulation skills. Occupational therapy can help your child in the following areas:
Moving (fine motor skills like using the small muscles of their hands).
Learning (cognitive skills).
Playing (social and emotional skills).
Activities of daily living (dressing and feeding).
Skills needed for their education (pre-writing, writing, and scissor skills).
Pediatric occupational therapy can encourage children to write with a pencil, feed themselves, and play with their peers, for example.
