Today we remember the brave men and women who laid down their lives for our freedom.
Their sacrifice reminds us of the greatest love: “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

We honor their courage, remember their service, and thank God for the freedoms we so often take for granted.
May we never forget.

Surry County Department of Social Services is excited to announce a Fatherhood Initiative Trip to the National Aquarium in Baltimore, Maryland on Saturday, June 20, 2026!

Participants will depart from the Surry Commuter Parking Lot for a fun and educational day trip to one of the nation’s premier aquariums. Round-trip transportation and aquarium admission will be provided at no cost to participants through partial funding from the Promoting Safe and Stable Families Grant.

⚠️ Limited seating is available and registration will be offered on a first come, first served basis — so don’t wait to sign up!

Today at ALCC, we had the honor of celebrating some of the amazing mothers who were in attendance for service. 💐

We are grateful for the love, wisdom, prayers, strength, and faith these women carry into their families, communities, and church each and every day.
