Tuesday of Holy Week reminds us of the final days Jesus spent teaching before the cross.

He was in the temple, surrounded by questions, challenges, and people trying to catch Him off guard. But Jesus stayed focused, pointing people back to what truly matters: loving God and living out a sincere, faithful life.

Through His words and stories, He called people to be ready, to stay faithful, and to live with purpose.

He also challenged outward religion without inward change, reminding us that God cares about our hearts, not just our actions.

So where does that leave us?

It invites us to slow down and take an honest look at our own lives.

Are we living out our faith, or just going through the motions?

As we continue through Holy Week, this is a time to prepare our hearts for what’s coming. To reflect, to listen, and to remember the weight and meaning of the cross.

Take a few moments today to be still, spend time in His Word, and ask God to draw you closer to Him.

Yesterday we celebrated Jesus’ arrival into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, but today the mood shifts a bit.

On Monday, Jesus went to the temple and found it full of distractions. Instead of being a place focused on God, it had turned into something else entirely. So Jesus cleared it out and reminded everyone: “My house will be called a house of prayer.” (Matthew 21:13)

This wasn’t just about a building back then. It’s about our hearts now.

Life gets busy. Our attention gets pulled in a hundred directions. Sometimes, without even realizing it, God gets pushed to the side.

So today is a chance to reset.

Where has my focus been lately?
Have I been making space for God?

A simple prayer for today:
“Jesus, help me make room for You. Show me what’s getting in the way, and gently lead me back to You.”

Holy Week isn’t about being perfect. It’s about drawing closer, one step at a time.

Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, the most sacred week in the Christian calendar.

On this day, we remember Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Crowds gathered to welcome Him, laying down palm branches and cloaks in the road as He rode in on a donkey. They shouted, “Hosanna!”, a cry of praise and a plea for salvation, recognizing Him as King. Yet this same week would lead to the cross.

Palm Sunday reminds us of the kind of King Jesus is: humble, peaceful, and full of sacrificial love. He didn’t come to conquer by force, but to save through grace.

As we enter Holy Week, we are invited to walk closely with Jesus:
• Reflect on His love and sacrifice
• Spend time in prayer and scripture
• Turn our hearts toward repentance and gratitude
• Prepare to celebrate the hope and victory of Easter

Join us today at 10 AM as we celebrate Palm Sunday together. Palms will be available for all as we remember and worship our King.

“Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!”

🥫 The Grocery Bag Initiative – Fighting Hunger in Our Community 🥫

Did you know that many people in our community go hungry every day? You can help make a difference!

Our Grocery Bag Initiative is an ongoing ministry where you can fill a yellow reusable bag with non-perishable food items at home and bring it to church. These donations go directly to local food pantries to help feed those in need.

Bring your filled bag any Sunday morning and be part of sharing God’s love in a tangible way. Just like Jesus fed the hungry, we are called to live in His image and care for our neighbors.

Let’s come together to combat hunger and make a real impact in the lives of others. Every bag helps!

💛 Grateful to Serve Our Neighbors 💛

This past week, we had the incredible privilege of serving alongside our friends at Trinity Reformed UCC, helping provide support and care to neighbors in need.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to live out God’s love in action and to see our community come together in generosity and compassion. Moments like these remind us of the power of serving others and the difference even small acts can make.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, or prayed for this ministry – your love and support truly make an impact. Let’s continue to find ways to serve and bless our neighbors every day!

Due to the snow and for everyone’s safety, our 10 AM worship service for today, Sunday, December 14, has been cancelled.

Stay tuned for a special online worship service posted from Pastor Bill later today!

Please stay safe and warm this snowy day. We look forward to worshiping together at Brownback’s on Christmas Eve at 7 PM and at our regular Sunday services at 10 AM.

This Tuesday, our church family will be serving a meal at Trinity Reformed UCC in Pottstown. We are grateful for the opportunity to do this four times a year, providing a warm meal and a warm welcome to neighbors in our community who are experiencing homelessness.

Would you join us in prayer as we serve? Here are some specific ways you can pray:
✨ Pray for each guest — that they feel cared for, seen, and loved.
✨ Pray for meaningful conversations and connections around the table.
✨ Pray for strength, compassion, and servant hearts for our volunteers.
✨ Pray for those facing housing insecurity in our communities — that they find hope, resources, and paths to stability.
✨ Pray for our community to grow in kindness and generosity toward all our neighbors.

Thank you for lifting this ministry in prayer. May we all be reminded that when we care for the least of these, we are serving Christ Himself.
