Our students were encouraged by the example of the shepherds this past Sunday that the good news of Jesus is for everyone.

They came up with a few people that they could share the good news with, so feel free to ask your children about who they plan to share the joy and peace of Jesus with this week!

Our preschoolers wrapped up our month of celebrating the coming of Christ in Matthew 2, where we heard about the journey the wise men took to visit Jesus because of how special Jesus' birth was.

We wrapped up our month on thankfulness this week with the story of King David praising God with music and dancing.

Our preschoolers made a joyful noise unto the Lord with musical instruments today as they learned they can praise God and worship Him for who He is.

We wrapped up our month focusing on Nehemiah, who boldly asked the king for permission to return to his homeland and rebuild. Once Nehemiah arrived in Jerusalem, he discovered the job was bigger than he imagined.
But with confidence that God would be with them, Nehemiah rallied the people, and God helped them to rebuild the walls.

Our Elementary students are working on memorizing Isaiah 40:31 this month.

It is such an encouraging verse that reminds us that God wants to be our strength, but we must stop trying to do things in our own strength and trust that we can do even greater things through Him.

Our theme this month for our preschoolers has them exploring all the different things they might see going on a picnic, and how they can thank God for all of it!

In Daniel's story, he faced an incredibly difficult choice—to pray to an earthly king or to continue placing his confidence in God alone… which would mean a trip to the lion's den. He chose to place his trust in God, and God showed Daniel that He was always with him.

Our prayer is that our students would learn that they can have the confidence to make the right decision, even if they are the only one, because they know that God is with them and He is for them.

Our preschoolers are memorizing Psalm 111:1 this month as they learn about thankfulness.

Ask your little ones if they remember the motions to the verse, and practice it with them!

This month, we are focusing on how important it is to build the foundations of our lives on God, one step of trust at a time.

Through stories of Elijah, Jonah, Daniel, Esther, and Nehemiah, we will see how making choices from a foundation of trust changes everything about the way you live.

This week, our Arbor Kids heard the story of Elijah and the prophets of Baal found in 1 Kings 18.

Elijah was facing an impossible task, but he trusted God because of all the ways he had seen the Lord show up for him in the past. God did the impossible and turned the hearts of the Israelite people back to Himself.
