Zion United Methodist Church Stepping out into the world to be Christ to others. "Where the Saints have worshiped since 1859". A.P.

Although the church was organized in 1850, the church building was built in 1859. Hill camped here with his troops during the Battle of Spotsylvania. The pews were torn out and the church was used as a hospital during and immediately after that battle. The church has a civil war era sword that was found underneath the floor boards in a 1950's renovation of the floor.

Our monthly food pantry at Zion UMC is this Thursday, 08/20/2026! We have your standard food box plus you can "shop" for food and non-food items (all free). We have some fresh produce and dairy items.
