In two weeks, we have a special FHE service project.. below are the details and guidelines, but I wanted to give everyone a heads up so they can plan accordingly...
Date: Monday, November 6th
Shift: 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Reserved spots: 25 (please let me know # as event approaches)
Day-of Group Leader: Thessaly Nicolaysen
Guidelines:
Closed toed shoes are required to volunteer with us. Flip flops and sandals are not permitted.
Volunteers should dress in layers with shoulders covered. We ask that that tank tops or sleeveless shirts are covered while volunteering.
Long hair should be pulled back.
Our minimum age is 9 years old or 3rd grade. We do not have projects for younger volunteers.
Volunteers are asked to arrive 10 minutes before the shift starts.
Confirming Volunteers:
We appreciate your efforts to keep in touch with your group. We will send you a confirmation a couple days before your event, but we do ask for your help. Please reach out to us right away if you find:
You have fewer volunteers than your reserved number so we can open those spots up to other volunteers, or
You have more interested folks than expected so we can confirm we have room within our shift capacity for additional volunteers.
Directions to the Warehouse:
From I-90 take Sullivan Exit and head North.
Go all the way down Sullivan.
You will pass a strip mall on your right hand side that has a Conoco, Subway and McDonalds in it.
There is a light just past that with E Kiernan Avenue to the left, and B Street to the right
Take a RIGHT at the light onto B Street. You are now driving into the Industrial Park.
Stay on that road until it ends.
Then turn right.
About 100 yards down, you will see the Northwest Harvest Warehouse on your right side.
