The Bridge Spokane Church in Spokane centered on following Jesus and building community through him. We meet on Sundays at 10:30 The Bridge is a gospel-centered church.

We are starting a new discussion this week at The Bridge on the book of Hosea.

Hosea is an epic story of God’s pursuing love for their people!

Unfortunately like so often happens this story has been hijacked to promote plenty of unhealthy story lines. These poor storylines have affected the way we view God, ourselves and others.

If you would like to spend some time diving into the true implications of Hosea and possibly have your understanding of this book, The Devine’s love and your value challenged then please join us sometime during this series.

We will get things kicked off this Sunday, 10:30am at 1047 W. Garland.

The Bridge is a small community of people, open and affirming to all. We are trying to walk out the questions, struggles, doubts and assurances of our faith in an honest and real way with each other outside the box of traditional institutional church.

Had a blast last Sunday doing a river cleanup with Spokane Riverkeeper] for church!

It’s a very smooth and easy process. They provide all the bags, gloves and trash pickers, plus they get rid of the full trash bags. Special shout out to Emily our volunteer coordinator.

People from all ages helped and quite frankly the little kids were unstoppable, climbing trees to get pieces of garbage.

Spokane Riverkeeper] is doing a great work. Contact them if you’re interested in helping and stay tuned because we will be doing one again soon and you could join us.

Imagine if every church in Spokane took one Sunday a year to help pick up trash… pretty sure that would make an incredible difference in the trash situation.

We are back on to hold our Sunday river clean up with Spokane Riverkeeper] this Sunday July 10th!

We will be gathering at downriver park at TJ Meenach at 10am and would love to have anyone join us that wants to help care for our beautiful rivers.

Honesty in promotion is usually not the best practice. Conventional wisdom is to exaggerate all best qualities.

At The Bride we are taking a different route… the most honest way to describe us is a different kind of church.

We are not claiming to be the best church or the most exciting and certainly not the trendiest but we are simply different.

If you are tired or sick of the normal church experience. If you are done with the big shows, pastors who think they are the most important, vision centered hoopla and activity over actual relationship then you might want to check us out.

If you are interested in a small community of people trying to question and walk out faith together in a safe and welcoming place, you might want to check us out.

Over the next few weeks we are going to be looking at typical Easter focuses from a different perspective.
