Good Morning! It is way past due for an update on the current status of Bare Necessities!

Our free store is still up and operational but has had to be flexible due to the current Covid situation in our community. The church has been closed to in-person worship as well as access to the church building due to increased Omicron cases, but now that cases are dropping the building has reopened. This means Bare Necessities will be allowed to have people come visit the store again soon.

In the meantime, if you are coming to the Food Bank, small bags with toilet paper, tissues, toothbrush and toothpaste, and a bar of soap will be put in your grocery cart as needed.

The Food Bank will be fully operational tomorrow morning, including our eating area where small snacks and light beverages will be served. So come and join us! 😁

Good Morning!!

It has been awhile since I have posted any updates. We are open and I have both hygiene and cleaning products available. Bare Necessities is open when our Food Bank is, the second and fourth Tuesday of every month, 8:30-11:30 am. So come down and see us! Masks are currently required to be in the church, but our seating area is also open and you can enjoy a snack while waiting to use the Food Bank, if needed.

Woohoo! 😃 Bare Necessities is back open as of tomorrow!! Our Food Bank will have food items to give out from 8:30 - 11:30 am and you will now be allowed to come into our dining area for coffee, tea and baked goods as well.

While waiting for your turn to pick out your groceries, one person at a time may come up on the stage and choose one of each hygiene and cleaning products they need. Please wear a mask and we look forward to seeing you!! 😃

Our last Food Bank of this crazy year is tomorrow morning!! Just like everyone else, we have had several challenges with all the logistics 2020 and Covid has brought. Thankfully we have a great team! 😁 And speaking of teams, I have had some wonderful people who I did not know generously donate much needed items, like precious TP and travel-sized toiletries for our Food Bank clients!! Bare Necessities has been able to keep going which is such a blessing to so many.

In conjunction with our Food Bank, we will be offering curbside pick-up of food and toiletries tomorrow morning at 8:30 am. Bare Necessities has a limited supply but will hand out a single bag each filled with one TP, toothpaste, toothbrush, bar soap, hand lotion and travel tissues. Due to the limited supplies only about half of the bags will have all of these, so be prepared for possibly receiving just TP, lotion and soap as the bags are handed out.

Hello Friends-

If you feel like helping our community in some way but are unsure how you can - One way it to support the Audubon Park Bare Necessities. They will hand out pre-bagged donations of T.P., Toothpaste, Tooth Brushes, Bar Soap, Hand lotion, and Travel-sized tissues on Tuesday Morning -Curbside in conjunction with the Audubon Park Food Bank.

If you have any of these items that you could donate- Could you please drop them off at the church on Monday, March 23 between 9 & Noon? Someone will be at the Church and would love to accept your donation. If you can't get out we can arrange someone to pick up your donations too. Just call the office to set up.

Geoff will be live streaming this Sunday's worship service again and I'm excited to be able to talk to you all online at least!

In the meantime please stay as safe, healthy and happy as you can.

COVID-19 Update

Some of you may have noticed Bare Necessities was closed last week and I sincerely apologize for not posting that fact beforehand. Two reasons for that due to the recent Coronavirus outbreak.

First, the usual supplies we put out have been next to impossible to obtain as people have been panic buying these critical items.

Second, I recently traveled to places where more cases had been confirmed. If I had become infected without me knowing I certainly did not want to put our wonderful patrons in any danger.

Since earlier this week the situation has definitely escalated. So, unfortunately I have decided to close Bare Necessities for the foreseeable future. This is changing and evolving daily and I will update this page as more details come available.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask!

These are just a few of the items we try to keep regularly stocked in Bare Necessities! Everyone who comes through the line can pick one of each item they need and we always have a 2-for-1 deal on our toilet paper rolls. 😊 So please come join us, the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month, and treat yourself to a wonderful warm breakfast as well!
