ICYMI: We celebrated our children on Sunday as families stood together to dedicate their children to the Lord. Parents, thank you for taking the pledge to lead, love, and raise your little ones in faith. We are so proud of you, and we promise to walk beside you every step of the way!

To our church family: thank you for showing up, cheering these families on, and being the village these kids need 🧔

ā€œā€¦Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.ā€ Mark 10:14

Today, we honor the hearts behind the vision 🧔

Pastor Dave and Pastor Tara, thank you for the way you lead, love, serve, sacrifice, and continually point people back to Jesus.

At The Avenue, we exist to move people from where they are to where God wants them to be. And every day, you lead by example, showing us what it looks like to live out that mission with faith, humility, and a genuine love for people.

Thank you for the prayers we never hear, the sacrifices we never see, and the countless ways you pour into this church and the people who call it home.

You don’t just lead the vision. You live it.

We love you, Pastor Dave and Pastor Tara! Happy Pastor Appreciation Day! ā¤ļø

Why do I need the church if I can follow Jesus on my own? ā›Ŗļø

Pastor Dave reminds us that our relationship with Jesus is personal, but it was never meant to be lived in isolation.

We need people who will pray with us, encourage us, challenge us, and remind us of God’s truth. The church is more than a service we attend. It’s a spiritual family where we belong, serve, and grow together.

You can believe in Jesus on your own, but you can’t experience the full purpose of Christian community by yourself.

Sometimes the hardest thing to hear is, ā€œMaybe the way I’ve always done it isn’t the way God wants me to do it.ā€ šŸ˜…

Following Jesus means staying humble enough to let His Word correct us, challenge what’s become familiar, and lead us into obedience.

If God’s Word disagrees with me, I’m the one who needs to change. šŸ‘€

Some moments you don’t want to rush past šŸ¤

Gather was more than a night on the calendar. It was a room full of women choosing to show up, open their hearts, worship together, laugh together, and remind one another that we were never meant to walk through life alone.

We’re here for Her.

ā€œShare each other’s burdensā€¦ā€ — Galatians 6:2

Why do we lift our hands during worship? šŸ™Œ

Pastor Michelle reminds us that lifting our hands is a biblical expression of praise, gratitude, and surrender.

Psalm 134:2 says, ā€œLift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the Lord.ā€

It isn’t about drawing attention to ourselves or appearing more spiritual. It’s simply a physical response to what God is doing in our hearts.

Sometimes lifted hands say, ā€œGod, I praise You.ā€ Other times they say, ā€œGod, I surrender.ā€

Build the altar. Lay it all down. Let God do the rest ā¤ļøā€šŸ”„

This Sunday was such a good reminder that when we make room for God and give Him our yes, He can do more with our lives than we could ever do on our own.
